I usually get 1 call a day from these folks - they never leave a message
They have been calling none stop for I can't remember how long. They call at all hours, and even on the weekend! I am trying that do not call number mentioned above, hope it works!
Another thing- when we do pick up, they never say anything, and hang up! And of course, never leave a message as well.
Just call the number back, primarily a land line and ask to be taken off their list. Get the person name and extention. They will take you off the list. Also call Cablevision tell them to stop calling you.
I've never even heard of Cablevision. I'm in Chicago and all they do is call my DORM telephone number constantly. I just keep hanging up. I called the Do Not Call thing and put the number in.
It's so strange... all of a sudden they just started calling. One day they called over 20 times!
The caller identified themselves as being from CHARTER CABLE COMPANY. I'm in Wisconsin. They were selling access to their Showtime tier. Always annoying.
This number has called my phone SEVERAL times a day for the past month or so. They start at about 8:00AM and don't stop until 10:00PM on some nights. It is VERY frustrating. They never leave a message. I registered my number with donotcall.gov SEVERAL months ago. I'm not sure how this company is getting away with calling me. I did file a complaint on donotcall.gov. I also called the number just a few minutes ago and spoke with someone. She said, "How may I help you?" I replied, "You can quit calling my house several times a day!" I gave her my first name and my telephone number. She said that it could take up to 30 days to get me off the list. I hope they stop calling soon.
I also have been receiving these calls several times a day. Twice, when I saw "Ontario" on the caller ID, I answered. It was Charter Communications. I talked to this number twice - It is Charter Communications (Charter.net in Nebraska or Charter.com) We have Charter as our cable TV provider and they were trying to talk us into signing up for Charter high-speed internet. Both times I explained that we had Charter internet, but changed to Qwest DSL because it was just as fast and much cheeper, and we were locked into a contract with Qwest for two years. Well, they keep calling! We are also on the Do Not Call Registry, but I had heard that telemarketers can still call if you have some form of service from their company. I called Charter today but was told that their computers were down so I have to call tomorrow (go figure!) Here is the number: 800.314.7195. I went onto their web site but couldn't find any help there.
Cablevision is the culprit and they are using a predictive dialer to telemarket their sattelite dish programs. A year ago, they used to leave us a computer message pimping services and "special offers" in our area. Since the number is from Canada, they are not subject to the Do Not Call restrictions (NAFTA).
They will not stop unless you contact them personally now - they used to have an opt out after listening to a nauseating pitch. That was shut down and now you get a "live" person from India. The predictive dialer will keep calling until you pick up and a telemarketer is on hand to talk.

They called last night and I answered it, having seen this number on my caller ID 3-4 times before. I said "Hi, this is Laura" and a woman made a sound and then hungup. Nothing said-no words. I actually thought my my boyfriend was cheating on me :) For this reason, looking online for the number.
This number ahsa called 7 times in 2 days who are they, I am on the DO NOT CALL list, and my number is unpublished. I tried to answer it lastnight and again today but they just hang up when I picked it up.
I get call from 647 288-7553 every day all day every 10 - 20 minutes. I just let it go to my answering machine. They never leave a message. It's been going on for months. I went on the internet and found this website with others complaining about the same thing. Something have to be done to stop the annoying calls.
OMEGA DIRECT RESPONSE is what the voicemail system said when I called back (of course it was "closed" 2 minutes after they called ME. They call every other day. I heard a dude asking to speak to my girlfriend while the ans.machine was playing the outgoing recording. No message left. When I called, I found a way to leave a general message where I requested them to stop calling. Unfortunately, my warning to them about lodging a complaint with the FCC probably won't help since they're Canadian. However, we could all complain directly to them, using their labor hours and they might take the # off the list. I'm a small business owner with no time for telemarketers schlepping crappy services. This number calls my work (desk)phone at least 3 or more times a day. I have never answered because I don't recognize the number. They never leave a message.
