wow, i can't believe how many people are getting this.. since the 12th that number has been calling me twice a day, always within 15 minutes of 10 am and 3 pm.. im always in class so i can't answer it, but its definatly weird
Caller ID "Ontario" 647-476-6059 - When I answered the phone a person with a strange accent asked, by full name, for my father. When I asked them to leave a message since he was not there, she said my name is "Michelle" and I'm calling from the "Bank Of America" and that she would call back. Now the scary thing is that my father does have an account with Bank Of America, and I'm sure that whoever is calling they are trying to fish more details about his account.
Call made to home number. Wife answered. Woman on other end hardly spoke english. Asked for me by full name. Wife explained I was at work and could she take a message. Answer was no and hung up.
answered the phone after about 10 seconds of quiet then a women with an accent asked for me by my full name and I said yes then she hung up so I tried to call the number back 1-647-476-6059 the recording said yes and was disconnected, very suspicious This is the first of these calls for me and if I get one more then I will change my number!!
they call and hang up and they called me at 9:00pm at night. I am a police officer and iv gotten about 30 of these calls in the past 2 weeks so next time they call, im going to find a way to trace it and if i have to ill go all the way down there my self now.. Im in NJ so there no reason they should be calling me.!!!
We are receiving calls from this number since a few weeks. Never received voice message though. Today when I picked it up, some old lady asked for my husband, and when I asked what was the call regarding, answer was it is from bank of america and someone will get in touch with my husband tomorrow evening.
Caller ID shows this number calling daily, sometimes twice in a single day, for nearly a week. No messages and the one time I was home and picked up the other end of the line went dead. Very irritating.
Just got two in a row! They didn't leave a message either. I also have answered and the person on the other end NEVER speaks English... the last time the guy said that he was gonna have someone call back in English, and I never heard from him again. Weird.
I have been receiving calls from 647-476-6059 on my cell phone daily. I contacted the CRTC, who contacted Telus Mobility on my behalf, and TELUS identified the number's service provider as "ISP Telecom". TELUS has requested removal of my cell phone number from the call list for 647-476-6059 so I suggest the rest of you contact ISP Telecom and request removal as well. Their website with contact information is http://www.isptelecom.net.
same as everybody else , this number calls repeatedly and since i have learned that if i do not know them , i do not want to talk to them , then i leave it be , however it is hard to have to stop and run to the phone just because some dumb.... does not get the message . i know they get paid for this , so , if i am not getting paid for answering the phone , then they can call all they want , hahaha . i just wished our country's laws were not so screwed up that the "NO CALL " really meant no calls :( .U.S.A. is going down hill faster than a third world country .
Perhaps it is the people who have created this website who are calling us in order to get us to post these complaints. The random, unsolicited calls generate visitors to this website which makes it ideal for advertisers to post links to their websites. I've seen stranger things.
I've been getting these calls twice a day for a few days too. I am seriously the wrong guy to attempt to defraud for a number of reasons. I called (514) 868-2002 and found out a number of things I feel inclined to share.
A) (514) 868-2002 is not the telephone number for ISP Telecom, it is a telephone and snail mail answering service called Regus Business Center, they answer for IPS Telecommunications in Calgary and Montreal. They are contracted by ISP Telecom to do this for them. The office manager's name at this front company is Lorraine Denis. She will attempt to give you the runaround if you are not calling from a law firm, law enforcement agency, or as somebody who has been contracted to work with law enforcement.
B) ISP Telecommunications has a website at: http://www.isptelecom.net/index.htm It is a very basic site for a telecommunications company. The site was "relaunched" March 24, 2008. I have no reason to believe that any substantive website existed for ISP Telecommunications before 2008.
C) ISP Telecommunications as a company was established in January 2008 and has only existed outside of Alberta since March 1, 2008. In other words, ISP Telecommunications has only been able to represent an Ontario caller since just before these phone calls seem to have started for people.
Through ISP Telecommunications' answering company I was able to get the name of their contact at ISP Communications. This person is: Andrew Matoga (spelling?) (416) 548 4834 Area code (416) is in Toronto, as is this other number I was able to acquire that is also for an actual person working at ISP Telecommunications: (416) 548 4699 It is interesting to note that these office numbers are in a completely different province from area code (514) which is in Montreal.
D) At http://www.isptelecom.net/contact.htm you can view contact addresses and phone numbers for ISP Telecommunications. All of these phone are Regus numbers except the 416 phone numbers which are voicemail only.
E) I spoke as well to Arnold Pena and Ken Eslinger who supposedly work for Regus at (403) 444-5541, which they claim is the Calgary office of Regus Business Center. Everyone at Regus has been as evasive as possible.
D) Regus claims it does worldwide outsourcing of telecommunications, which is an odd coincidence considering people getting calls from the number in question and the person on the other end using English as a second language.
E) The USA headquarters of Regus is in Dallas, this is also where the CEO Mark Dixon resides. Ken claimed he lived in the UK before that and that the Regus worldwide headquarters are in London.
The phone number of the legal department at Regus Business Center is: Regus Dallas, Texas, legal department (972) 361 8100 extension 8
Edited to add these numbers: Grace Rivera (214) 295-8285 Legal office at Regus Texas
John Shelley (972) 340-2043 Customer Service
If making calls, I'd start at the bottom of my post and work backwards from there. Preferably have your attorney or a law enforcement agency call on your behalf, but otherwise call on your own and let everyone involved that this stinks and needs to be dealt with right away.
