they will claim that you won a free trip and cruise and then pressure you for credit card information. Sounds like a scam to me.

Just got the call. They claim we won a vacation too. Insisted on getting my name to personalize the letter. I told them no, so they said they would just put 'Susan' then. If they know my last name , phone number and mailing address...HOW COME THEY DON'T KNOW MY NAME?"

Just got a call from them. Claimed to be The Ontario Locations Gateway. Googled it, found nothing.
They knew mailing address, last name, but only the first 2 letters of my name. Seems odd.
Like poster above "...HOW COME THEY DON'T KNOW MY NAME?"
They wanted to confirm so they can send me a letter, I said no since I found no info on The Ontario Locations Gateway
How did they get my mailing address, last name, and only manage to get the first to letters of my first name?

Just got a call from them.  They called themselves Florida Bahamas Cruise Vacations.  Kept demanding $598 to secure my 'free vacation'.  While he was blabbing on, I searched the company and saw nothing but bad things.  When I called their bluff, the promptly hung up on me. SCAM!

I got a call from this number. He said his name was Raymond Lopez, calling from Florida Bahamas Cruise Vacations and that I won a cruise for 2 because I filled out an entry form at Toronto Gay Pride. I had filled out several entry forms at Toronto Gay Pride last weekend but this "contest" seemed like a rip-off because they were asking for a "small" promotional fee of $299/person and I also had to pay for my own airfare to Florida. The operator also mispronounced "Oshawa" so clearly these people aren't even calling from Ontario.

After listening to the operator go on all about the ins and outs of the cruise vacation, I eventually just told him I didn't want it.

    yea-right!
So my roommate got a call from this guy named Raymond Lopez, employer ID 226 from Florida Bahamas Cruise information trying a really hard sell on this all inclusive (car rental, hotel, alcohol, cruise plus las vegas, $149/person, 18 months to decide) package.
The three of us (all roommates) did fill out stuff at Pride Parade in Toronto. We did specify our age - two of us are over 21, and these two got the call. Those two also have last names indicative of ethnic minorities. Maybe the caller was targetting people who might be an ethinic minority, trying to scam people who would jump on the opportunity to take a deal which is  `too good to be true` due to their poor English skills and low SES. However, we undersood clearly enough that a third party would be sending us stuff if at all, and that he was very knowledgeable about American laws but made no mention of our Canadian laws applicable in the situation, and that we would get access to the package within 48 hours, regardlesss of it being sent by snail mail or e-mail. When we declined, he announced that he will pass "our package" to the next family on the waiting list (whatever it is) - what kind of company would offer a cruise with unlimited acces to alcohol to families, potentially with children?
We did not feel at all comfortable giving out the requested info because when we tried calling the number 647-478-8490 back on another cell phone (as two of us got the call and both have caller ID), it was not a company number and it went to voicemail which was full and announced an error.

I got the same call, three times now. I finally picked up randomly, and he, Daniel Martin, said that I won a cruise price. They even showed me their website: www.gofloridabahamas.com

I almost gave in with my credit card info giving the vacation days. Sadly, my bf was smart enough to tell me to hang up or call him back and check.

    Best,

    Oth

That's what I thought. I will be reporting them to a couple different places. His super corny voice and style of talking is patheticly infomercial.
So I wonder what company is collecting and selling information from Pride...

My boyfriend and I had filled-out ballots to win a car, when we were at the Corso Italia street festival in Toronto, July 2nd & 3rd. We both got calls from this "Florida Bahamas Cruise Vacations" place.

I got the call 2 days ago - they said they needed to "verify" information with me, from what I had filled-out on the ballot, to determine if I am eligible for the prize. They asked my first name but didn't know my last name. They asked if I live in Toronto, but didn't get any more specific than that. The very next question was "which bank do you have a major credit card with?". I told them I don't have a credit card (because it's not like I was going to give them any details about it over the phone anyway), and they promptly told me that I'm no longer eligible & hung up before I could say a word.

My boyfriend got the call today. Thankfully I'd already told him about it, and thankfully I was the one who got the call first - his response when I told him about the call was "What?!?! You should have given them my credit card info then!!!" ... I'm sure plenty of people have been scammed out there.

I got exactly the same thing just 2 hours ago but with a different phone call from 0302.
Claimed to be Florida Resorts Travel (named Ray) saying that I've won a 7D6N cruise for 4, $299/ person (without airfare)...
They knew my mailing address and my first name and asking whether I still remembered that i've filled up an entry form few months back on their website...
I told them i can't recall and asking what's their website named,
telling that I will not able to search the package he was offering from the internet but never mentioned the name of their website....
Then I told him that I am working now and asked them can they email me all the package info since they also knew my email address,
but he said he can just done it over the phone instead of email, and when I declined,
he told me that I was picked out from 2 millions of people from this contest,
and he will not able to secure my holiday package so he had to pick another one from their "waiting list" .....bla bla bla...
19 minutes on the phone, kept telling me that it is safe to give him my credit card info because it's recorded and will confirm with credit card company.....

I got a call from this number a couple of hours ago! This gentleman claimed that I attended a recent Salsa parade (which I did). He then confirmed that I filled out a lucky draw coupon for a vacation. He insisted that I verify my name, marital status, and address. I had apparently won a trip to the Bahamas! He had all my information and verified it! He constantly sought consent and mentioned multiple times that the call was being recorded! I was driving and indicated that I would call back. When I tried the number, could n't get through-voice mail was full-and said there was an error. I looked this up online and saw the bad reviews. He called back-I suspected a scam and so asked him to tell me the details of the Florida vacation. He said he couldn't do it unless I further verified my information. I hung up!!!!

My girlfriend and I filled out ballots to win a car at Sunfest in London, got the call and was constantly asked for a credit card to cover "fees".
I told him I was going to be in Florida next month and would pick up my FREE trip package in person at no charge, and got hung up on.
