got this number called for many times over the past 3 days. Picked up and no body replied. Caller id is very strange V2201102270012.

i never answer but the calls keep coming!

I just received a call from this number but did not pick it up.

I am getting tired of these type of calls.  I just wish they would go away.

Answered, energy (scam) company.

These people say they are from eco energy approved by the government for a 3000$ rebate. This is B.S they ask alot of personnel questions own your home, how old it is, if your the home owner when i said to the caller you gave my address and you called me dont you think uou would know who i am being government approved and all she was mad

yeah, sure.  and they're so legitimate that they have to hide their callerid information?  get out!

Received a call from this number, they did not leave a message.

The number 647-558-5685 has called numerous times and never leaves a message. Last night they called at 11:45PM. I tried calling back and the number was busy. Today, they call again and again no message. Even when I answer the telephone, no one talks. I call just now and got a recording from a male, who sounded like Daffy Duck and I was to wait for an agent, as they are busy. Got music all the time and Daffy Duck came back on and repeated the same crap. I finally hung up.

Got the same call and told her no such thing as Government approved.  she said "would I be calling home owners if it wasn't?"  Told her Your the idiot. NOT me.

Got a call from this number a few minutes ago. A person with a thick accent was on the line. Had to ask him several times to repeat parts of his speech. Said he was involved in rebates from Power One for my Gas Furnace. I know that Ontario Power one generates electricity, and is not involved with natural gas furnaces. Asked him to send me a letter regarding this "campaign" he was advertising. His Caller ID just had this phone number and no organization.

Sick of getting these calls - we are on the Do  Not Call list - but it sure as heck does no good.

I just got a call from Eco-Energy as well. I reported it to the Do Not Call List. Hopefully these calls stop

I am tired  of phone calls  that keep calling me , but never leave a message!  Consequently, I don't answer any calls, unless, there is a message, or---I know who the caller is!  Nevertheless----it's very annoying!!!!!

This number was recorded on my telephone today at 12:23 p.m.  I answered and then there was a click and then a dial tone.

yup, called  without saying anything.....dam..

Didn't give them a chance to explain who they were.  Telemarketing, block the number!

Same old, same old. Get calls from this number on a regular basis even though I'm in a 613 (Ottawa) area code. I answer, could be any time of the day and there is a 'click' at the other end like someone hanged up. I'm also on the infamous do-not-call list. These people and others completely ignore the list. So, I guess, my friends, we are stuck with the harassing calls. Fred.

They must be working on the 613 exchange because yesterday April 11/2015 I got a call from this number - not knowing the number I let it go and they didn't leave a message.

Scum bags describes them - I can't say what I'd do if I ever caught up with one.

There is a posting on Wikipedia addressing this – the site states it is unclear as to whether or not it is advertising.  hrrpa://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecoenergy.

These are spoofed Greater Toronto area numbers and scammer calls trying to get details on your home, address, and income.  They've used 1-905-581-8841 and 647-495-9013 in the past.

There was a Federal Ministry of Natural Resources energy home retrofit program, that Ontario dropped out of in 2011; the program ended in June 2012 and the webpages have been Archived.  There were prequalified vendors – but since the program is no longer active any company telemarketing and claiming to be part of this program is committing fraud.

1-800Notes.com shows lots of calls on the same scheme rom the other numbers over the past year – including one posting from a former business associate saying this is a scam.

I used to work with the Ontario Ministry of Energy, and had a close friend working in the Public Inquiries Centre.  There is no valid company called ‘Ontario Eco Energy’ and no such program; and governments would never have companies direct-market to the public using the program name (if it was a legit rebate program, it would be done via the company - not pretending to offer expired rebates).

This is clearly a scam, including those showing up at a homeowners address and trying to upsell equipment the homeowner doesn’t need!
