They have called me twice both are recordings claiming that it is in regards to the CRA. SCAM

Received twice already today with 2 hours between the calls. Pre-recorded message stating that I have to call them and that it has to do with my CRA account, also told me to have my attorney call back. CRA website says to watch out for these types of calls or emails as they are scams.

Just received second call from this number. Officer John Parker from the CRA urges me, though he never actually said who he was looking to speak with, to do the right thing and either call myself, or, have my lawyer call. If not good luck as bad things will unfold on me.

Got two robocalls this afternoon 2 hours apart identical to yours. Same number (647-873-1147), same guy, i.e. "Officer Parker", same line of bull. I guess it's peak tax scam season.

Like several people who have posted, I received a message stating that I needed to call back immediately regarding an urgent financial matter and saying not to disregard the call.  Made reference to an Officer John Parker and Badge #172.  I called back the number to try to report the call to a superior because of the way it was a bit threatening.  When I called back, the guy kept asking for my name, and then said he was going to drop all charges because he liked my voice.  Then he said that he knew where I lived -- repeated my address -- and that he would come to my house with the police.  He finished the call by saying something rude.  I am thinking of calling the police.

I did receive a call too, I guess it's fraud... I'm from Montreal area... it's exactly like other strories posted... i did not called back

We received the same call - it was very threatening. He said that his name was officer Parker. He spoke with a thick Jamaican accent.

Got a call from the number twice today. Any way can stop them?

Same as above only the person that answered had an indian accent.  He wanted my phone number told him to pound salt.  Never gave him a chance.  The number is not listed so they have worked out some type of routing.

This is the second cycle of these annoying and bogus calls in two months. Ironically just received my tax rebate cheque.  Police suggest not returning calls or engaging these creeps at all.

Got a call from this number today and spoke with a fellow who claimed he was with the Canada Revenue Agency. Could barely understand him but the gist was I owed the CRA money. He also stated that if I did not pay this money immediately, this would become a legal matter. I told him I would look into it and get back to him as I would have to speak to my accountant. He did give me a case number to make the call sound official  (I won't be calling him back). He kept asking for my personal info to verify his info (Big NO) and when I said you tell me what you have there, he tried to emphasize how important it was for me to clear this matter up. Scam! CRA has never ever called when I owed them money - got tons of letters and statements but no calls unless I called them first.

Got a message from this number today and spoke with a fellow who claimed he was officer John Parker. He urged that I should not try to delete the message and call him back immediately.Otherwise, he would sue me. Very threatening.

Same as the other messages below same stupid CRA scam to call back, do not disregard this call and ask for Officer John Parker. Funny how the message cut out rights after the words "and if you don't return this call...." In mid sentence.  Boy are these guys stupid!!!!

Got this call today, if he was really with the cra he would not be threatening people at the end of the message & they would state the name of the person they are looking for. Total scam!!!! Do NOT call them back & if you do call don't give them Any information including your name.

SCAM!!!! Prerecorded message from the Canada revenue agency stating this phone call is for me (doesn't mention my name or anyone else who lives here) and that I must call back or they will pursue legal action. 647 873 1147   I called this number and informed the guy who could barely speak English that I was aware of the tax scam and that Canada revenue agency would not be calling anyone on a public holiday and that I would be reporting this number to the police - he hung up on me. lol

I received a phone call from this number today an Holiday. They claimed that I should stay home because the police was on their way to my house. They claimed they had an affidavit with my name on it that I made fraud on my tax from 2010 to 2014. They didn't has for money on the call. The person never told me what was his name.  I called the police to report the call and they gave me the number for Canada Anti-fraud and told me to report it.

I received a call this morning from 647-873-1147.  The person indicates that he's calling from CRA and identified himself as Daniel Smith and that I have been charged with Fraudulent transactions at the CRA concerning my tax returns.  That the police are on their way to my door  and will arrest me with 3 months of jail and that my accounts will be frozen as soon as the call has ended if I don't resolve this issue right away.  This number then called me again about 3 hours later this time left a message saying the agent's name was John Parker and that I needed to call them back right away about a CRA matter.

I got the same thing.....really disturbing.....

Just received 2 calls from same person   I told him I was going to report him to the fraud department and he hung up on me
