This phone number is attached to a scam according to the Attorney Generals office.  A cashiers check was sent to me in the amount of $3,920.00 to be cashed and send in $2,785.00 to cover the taxes on my winnings.  I contacted the supposedly issuer of the check which was CEFCU credit union and they also advised the check was a fraud.  Hope this information will help someone not fall for the scam as so many people are doing.

I received the same check and now its 2810 to cover taxes written by Keany & Associates on Nations Bank check stock

My wife got one the check and letter yesterday.  The phone call last week.  The check is real, but not any good.  I did a web search on Pacific Trellis Fruit (The Payor) and their business doesn't seem to have anything to do with paying winnings, so I knew something was wrong then.  I web searched North American etc...and the fraud links started popping up like crazy.  I am concerned my parents could fall for this and will be warning them.  Good thing for these type of web sites.

I just received a letter from Susan Green who is supposedly the vice president of finance in the claims department (no other business info listed)  saying i won $55k and enclosed was a check for $3,920. My total taxes would be $2,810 and i need to call Dom at 647-892-5435 for further instruction. My check is from RedWood Credit Union Santa Rosa California. I will be giving this information to the Attorney generals Office. Thank God for the internet.

Received a letter and check informing that we are winners in the second category of the the UK & North Ameria Consumer Promotional Draw and a Compensation Draw organized for all customers of Wal-Mart, Sears, Home Depot, Walgreen, Target, Macys, etc. for a lump sum of $63,000.  Included a realistic check drawn on Columbia Bank for $3,882, check #55472, routing # 055472 and account # 055002338-01-198971. Requests that we contact Ernest Gee or Mary Willl at 1-647-835-2509 M-S 9-5p PST for instructions. Requests a wire transfer would need to be done through Western Union in the amount of $2999.80 to cover non-Resident Govt. Service Tax (GST) and insurance costs.

Today I received a letter from Consumers Promotion Inc. 80 Seymour Street Hartford, CT 06102(North American Direct Sweepstakes sponsored by United Automobile Insurance Service)(Unclaimed Prize Division) Tel: 877-571-6411. It then gae a claim number and stated final notice, advising that entry **-***-*** was attached to my name and matched the first five lucky numbers*-**-**-*-** hence making me a winnter, therefore approved for lump sum of $78,000.00 payable by Certified Check and will be delivered via their Special Courier Company to me and to contact file maker Debbie Wills 877-571-6411 w/attached check of US $3,987.00 available to pay the Non-Resident Govt.Service Tax (GST) and Insurance. Advised to contact my file maker agent for details and the total amount is $2,999.80 to be paid through Western Union or Moneygram.

After researching determined this is a SCAM! PLEAE BE CAREFUL!!! and research everything before cashing a check!!

Oh, and if you look up Consumers Promotion Inc. address on the map, there is a big hospital right on that address...  very interesting...

Opened the same exact latter today. I called Debbie and she assured me that it is real. I know it is a scam but man was I excited for second. She even told me that someone would be arriving at my house next Thursday to deliver the winnings. Definitely going to report this one!

Today I opened letter from Gateway Investment inc. I WON $250 000. Attached check for $3590. from Aetna Life Insurance Company!!!!! What a scam! I have to pay Service tax and Insurance amount of $2590 and send payment through Western Union and Moneygram, after talking to claim agent "immediately"

So l just got an call from supposivly is Northern American Direct, the guy's name was Jamie. I think it was an automated voice response, so he's asking me all these questions,l was answering some, because l was like half sleep trying to put my son to sleep, so when l asked him to repeat what he stated, he hesitated, I'm like wait a minute l didn't enter any sweepstakes, plus he said they were located in Florida, but clearly had an 614 areacode.
