this number is apparently not in service so how did they call me.

I didn't pick up, but it left a voicemail. When I checked it, it said something along the lines of "If you were the customer that called Canadian Tire support for help, press 1, if not, press 2." Pretty strange since I don't shop there, but whatever.

This came up on phone with this number, and the call display said CANADIAN TIRE
This is an Ontario number and I am in Alberta.

I recently updated my address with Canadian Tire.  I think those [***] want to sell me credit protection.  They ask every time I speak to them.  Ugh.

yeah I just recently got a credit card with Canadian Tirethey tried jamming the payment protection down my throat.when I finally insisted that I didn't want it and I was annexed banker and if they wanted me as a customer to lay off back off and don't ever ask for me the product again. guess it didn't work because three days later they call again.I'm simply going to add them to my block list in my phone. thatsmyopinion @ outlook.com.

So that's who called! I just cancelled the Credit Protection on my card, so this department has been flagged to contact me & talk me into it again, it seems. They left no message.

I got some calls from this number and I'm from Québec ! Weird !!!!!  

A customer satisfaction call from Canadian Tire whenever you use their services.

I called the strange number back (it's a Toronto number) and a taped answer indicated that it's a client survey co. Called SQM Group. Judging from the answers above and the fact that I had called the financial services of Canadian Tire yesterday, I concluded that it's a company that works with them to survey the quality of service.

I wonder about what's weird I thought you could call anywhere in the world from any given number?

Just rejected a call from this number, since It's not known to me and am not expecting any calls from out of my area at this time.
I did however just require customer service from CanTire only yesterday, guess they wanted to survey me.

It was a survey on roadside assistance from Canadian Tire

Go to SQM web site they have a do not call section where you can enter your number or call their 1 800 number , very pleasant and removed my number right away.
Canadian tire were less than helpful

Who does this number belong to and stop calling

credit protection is not a new thing , but they do not use it they would rather get anyone who has a balance of any kind to pay it , many  delinquent accounts even they would rather nag those people to death over the fact but know this every account is already paid off even if it goes bad the very minute they decide to do this then they sell for a very tiny fee any bad accounts to some yahoo brainless person to double collect what has already been taken care of by there insurance so they illegally double dip all bad accounts  so taking the protection wont make a difference they get paid for it anyways

I also just got a gas MC when I was calling  to  activate my new card and it took me 20 minutes telling her I don't want it and I am already disabled and don't work so why would I pay for something that I don't  qualify for this protection so thank you very much for the head's up for saving me a 20 minute of telling them no
