I just got a similar call from 650-282-2981 at 2:24pm 05/28/08.  I hung up after a couple of seconds when I realized it was an automated message.  Should I be worried?

I just got the same call from 650-282-2901 at 5:57PM on 5/28/08 with the whole peanut butter and jelly for dinner crap.
650 is actually a San Mateo County area code in California.
This is completely annoying. Any idea for this crap to not happen again?

I just checked my voicemail and had a long message that told me it was my credit card calling me about the purchase of "dirty stinky underwear". There was no credit card specified. It had also suggested that I "press 9" to find ro who's pranking me. I didn't. Feel like it'll only keep the "prank" going. I called my bank and phone service provider to report it.

It would have been funny if my kids were behind this, but now I see it's some company wasting my time. Probably if I press 9 it moves my phone number to the 'confirmed' list of numbers. Just like with junk mail, don't reply as it only increases the chances of your number or address being sold off to marketing companies.
