nominally a correctional police officers' association raising money for widows, orphans, and crippled children

Wanted money for all the widows of slain police officers in san mateo county. only 25 police officers have been killed in the line of duty in san mateo in 120 years. Only 2 in the past 30 years (www.100clubsmc/memorial.html). caller id said "art deco modern company".

Called back this number as it was a missed call.  Automated message said that it was selling tickets to a variety show (!) to benefit local charities.  $40 for the whole family.  Said that its clients are non-profit and exempt from do-not-call rules but that I could opt to get on their in-house do not call list.  I hung up.

Keeps calling and hanging up late at night (9PM to 11PM).  What a rip off

Called at noon on a Saturday. Caller ID said Art Modern Deco. Did not answer. No message left.

They call me on a monthly basis, 5 days in a row, usually around 8pm. They not leave a message or they hang up if my husband isn't available (the phone is in his name). I called them and also received a message about their clients being non-profit and that they were exempt from the do not call registry; they were also offering $40 tickets to a 'charity event'.

I reported them on the National Do Not Call Registry as it definitely does not sound like a legitimate non-profit operation.

Had several missed calls from this number over the past week. When I finally picked up the phone today, the person asked for my wife and immediately hung up when I tried to ask for more details. I live in San Mateo county.

I am getting regular calls from this number and nobody is ever on the phone when I answer and no message is left if I do not answer the phone. I have called back on several occassions and always get the same recording, with a deep voice saying they are callilng for a non-profit and are exempt from the do not call list. What do we need to do to make this stop - sounds like a scam.

Art Modern Deco appeared.  The man on the phone asked for my father who passed away.  I said as much, and the man said "I'm sorry" and hung up right away.  I've seen this in our caller ID a few times as a missed call but no messages were ever left.  

Tried googling "Art Modern Deco" with the phone number and no hits.  Random name to catch us off guard, I think.

Have called several times; I see them on my Caller ID and I don't answer.  With so many people receiving these annoying, uninvited calls, can't someone do something about it?  I've also reported it to the Do Not Call list site.

Same as others, a lot of calls at odd hours without leaving a message.  I am also in San Mateo County.

I have gotten at least 15 calls from these guys. They always just hang up when I am called. They won't stop calling. When I call their number it's the recording of that jerk with a deep voice saying that they wanted to invite me to a variety show. I'm going to report them to the dot not call list. What idiots.

they've been doing this for years but the art deco modern name that comes up on the caller i.d. is relatively new.  one year, my caller id showed my own phone# as the one calling,which through me, and i answered the phone.  recently, as i looked at the caller id and ignored the call, after my outgoing message finished playing, there was a male who repeatedly called out my first name.  i have to think again in attempt to trick me into answering the phone.

I always get call from this number, almost everyday.  It never leave messages.  I am in San Mateo too.
