I keep getting calls from no caller ID but it says San Francisco Peninsula Area. No one ever speaks, I block the number and around the same time the next day they call from a different number.

Same deal. Someone finally spoke at 12 seconds & called me Mrs Chan, not my name. Super rude when I told him that wasn't my name & mocked me for not giving him my real name. Swell.

the caller has my name and claimed to be calling about energy savings. I said please stop calling. He said "NOPE, NOPE, not gonna help you."
They call from several numbers.

I have been getting several calls a day for months from these people - all calling from similar 650 or 408 numbers. They never speak if I do answer and they never leave messages. I would love to file a formal complaint if anyone has any idea what organization they are calling from?!

Multiple different companies are trying to leverage the solar industry's willingness to underwrite solar panels on houses in the Bay Area. These unwanted calls come from many different numbers, and they call cell phones as well as home phones. It is insidious. This number is just one more that they have hijacked to appear to be calling from a real residence.

service.They called on the cell today .If they do ID themselves you can report them,and
get the number they called from turned off
                  But They just keep calling from a different one !

They say they are from the "National Renewable Energy Center" or NREC.

On 4/23/15, received call from 650-489-1032 at 4:12 PM. Told them we're on the do not call list and don't call again. Person said OK, just tell me how much you're spending on electricity. Said no and they said OK go ahead and spend $100,000 on electricity and hung up.

Exactly 15 minutes later, received call from 650-487-0955 at 4:27 PM. Told them they just called and we don't want any more calls. Instead of apologizing, they said they needed some info to add us to their do not call list... "How much do you spend on electricity?". This person said they're located in Van Nuys, CA, they were a supervisor, and they reported to someone named "Channelle Info".

These people keep calling and when you answer they will say nothing for the first few seconds . After two hellos they will hang up. This occurs at lest a couple times a week. Tried to call back but keep getting recording cant leave message .

They called today without leaving any message

Lady called with a thick filipino accent. She asked to speak to the owner of the house regarding PG&E. When I told her my mom wasn't here she hung up on me rudely. I tried calling back and she won't answer and her mailbox is full. Her extension is #8182759671.

Google Voice says "missed call" - which means they hung up on challenge. Will block.

This caller was very rude and talked over me.  She insisted that the NO CALL LIST doesn't apply to her because she's not trying to sell me anything.  I asked for her name and she said that if I get so many calls from them, I should remember the name.  Then she hung up on me.  I receive these calls at least once a week.

The real problem is the phone service company. They charge us, but not the sender.

Got a call from this number and told her I didn't understand what she was talking about, then hung up.  She called me back and told me maybe I should listen and not be so ignorant.  Of course, when you call back they don't accept calls.  It's always a 650-487-xxxx or a 650-489-xxxx number so I know to ignore or what to say when I answer.  Have had all the experiences of the posters here.  One trick is to say yes, you are interested and put the phone down.  They will hang up. Do it enough times and they are wasting their time and energy.  I don't care if my line stays on for a few minutes.

Someone called, we called back and received a message saying that it was an "international call". We blocked it from our phones.
