When it called us three times, we heard only two fax beeps and then nothing happened. When it called us the fourth time, we let it go to our answering machine. No message or beeps were recorded. We haven't heard from it for about 15 minutes now.
We called the number and heard a recording for a "fax removal list." Because we worried it was a scam, we didn't punch in our number.
I'm reading online that we shouldn't key in our number.

TO STOP THIS NONSENSE, call the Boomerang Customer Service Number (800-769-4000) and insist upon being removed from their solicitation line. Press Option 1 to speak to a customer service representative.

Blondie - 6 Jun 2008Ditto the last few callers - faxing all day long but nothing coming through. It was by Googling the number that I ended up here, called Boomerang's customer service line and finally spoke with someone who could help. As we spoke, he removed both our fax and telephone numbers and gave me his assurance that we would never be back in their data base again.
