Same for me. How do we stop it???

Send the number text messages. The sender does respond from time to time asking to stop.... but refuses to identify himself. Clearly he is phishing for wokring cell phone numbers.... and what he is doing is illegal.

Two numbers associated with this spanner that I have been hit with on a daily basis is:

650-766-5047

Initial investigation reflected the owner as:

Owner: Complete Mobile

Carrier: New Cingular Wireless Pcs Llc
CEO Stan Sigman
Contact Number: 866-241-6567

Call Carrier and complain to have this number turned off due to violations in the Telecommunications Act (among other illegal acts). If you cannot get the user to stop, get the carrier to simply cancel their account! New Cingular is based in the Sandy Springs/Atlanta, Georgia area

Any help on whythey are doing this.
