This call comes to you from a online software named Jaxtr which liks a normal phone to their service to give discounted calles through VOIP. And you got this call due to one of your friend/relative reistered your number in this site to call you for cheap.

I just received a call from this number. Instructed me to press "*" if I was not the one who initiated the call. I pressed "*", then the voice said "Your phone has been activated". What is this? And who are they to activate my already activated phone.

hey guys i know what it is, some one put your phone number on Jaxtr. Its where people can call you for free. obviously people put ur numbers on there. but its a website where you can call your friends and family (free)
