Called my number, threatening me...  Saying there is a lawsuit against my social, demanding I call back or have an attorney call. Or else!

They called my cell and left a voice mail saying that I had to call them back or have my attorney call them back because their is legal issues with me the name of the person who called me is Michelle she has a very thick Indian accent

this # called my cell and work saying that there was a law suit against me and that the sheriffs office was going to go to my home.TRavis said that there were representing a cash advance company, that I owed $8400 and would settle for $711. told me I needed to go to walgreens or cvs and get a vanilla reload network card, which is not a visa or mastercard but the money on it and call them back with the scratch off code on the back. beware this is a scam.

Received a telephone call on home phone, a male with a thick accent, left message that important matter, lawsuit against social number and wanted attorney name. I called back and they would not give me information due to they were calling for my husband, the male wanted to know our attorneys name, and I asked what this is in regards to and he stated he could not talk to me.  When I asked his name he said that he is a paralegal for Watson Legal Services and his name was John Marshall.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

This number had been calling me non stop all week starting his name is calvin. He had an Indian accent and is very hard to understand.  Tonight he left a message saying I need to have my attorney call him back.

I had a guy with an heavy ascent calling saying he was a layer and that I had a case against my name and that I needed to pay 8000. He threaten to have my job taken away and that I would be arrested by the end of the day. This is a scam do not give any information !!!

I just received a call from this number and they left a voicemail (12:10 p.m. EST, 04/04/2014).  I received the same message as the above reports indicate.  It said to call this number (651-212-4012, Michelle Davis, with a very, very thick accent) or have my attorney call.  Time sensitive issue, and if I do not call them back or my attorney does not call back "I wish you luck as this issue unfolds."   I have received calls prior to this months ago and another month, and months ago stating the same thing.  This is harrassment for NO REASON.  I am not calling them back and get into a verbal argument with them or otherwise.  Infuriates me to no end!!

I recently  checked into the possibility of a pay day loan, and decided against it when I was bombarded with hundreds of calls from an Indian speaking people.Also I found out  NEW JERSEY cannot get pay day loans. It is ill legal. They claim I have to pay money to them, and I went after them saying they should look into states that pay day loans are illegal which they are in New jersey. i CALLED them several times, and he finally said don't call again, and probably blocked me. LOL.

I concur that each of the above listed complaints are extremely valid, I have recently began receiving these calls stating that I took out an online loan it was left on my voice mail and that I was to contact Jeff Palmer myself or with my attorney at 651-212-4012. Upon attempting to contact the "(Invisible man, Jeff Palmer)" a person named John Marshall with an accent claimed to be a paralegal and stated that I would be getting arrested this coming up Monday.  I revealed to John Marshall that I was aware that the business he was in was a scam and that I had already reported them to the FCC he immediately hung up.

hmmmm is right. The jerk that called my place of business said it was BOSTON LEGAL ASSOCIATES. LMOL. They are using every fraud they can. Don't give them any info such as last four digets of your social, date of birth, etc. They will try asking. I called them several times and finally was told to stop calling them. LOL. It's a total SCAM.

I contacted one pay day company and they told me that they are very much aware of people pretending to represent them, and anyone with a foreign speaking accent is not from any pay day company in the UNITED STATES. So don't worry when they threaten you with arrest. I have had them threaten me with arrest back in October. Nothing. What they do is they use the magic jack numbers, so you never know if the number is legit that calls.

called  my sons   phone  saying that  the  was  a legal  matter  that I  need  to call  them  back  asap . guy  named  alex

I keep receiving calls from this number saying "the issue at hand is extremely time sensitive and I need to call back ASAP or my retain attorney"  He says he is John Maxwell.   It does not say what it is about.

Same thing  - 651-212-4012. Left me a vm, called my work - I called my local police

I received a call from Mike Johnson sayin I need them $598.23 but couldn't tell me who actually I owed money to.  He transferred me to a Travis Hall who then said if I don't pay I will be served at home or work and a warrant will be put out for my arrest if I decide not to settle.  I was scared and couldn't think of a debt that I owed for that amt.  My husband looked online and we found this site for scams.  I was almost gonna pay that fool.  Thank god for my husband.

I just got a call from them also and when I asked them who the people were, how much and the number he studdered..so I todl them point blank don't call me scammers i am calling the police for harrassment and all he could say is that I am a scammer i am like really..you are talking to someone who works in Collections Stupid person
