This number calls and hangs up when I answer. They call witin 1 hour of each call and sometimes it rings twice then stops.

The number 651 288 2873 continues to call me several times a day. Anytime I answer they hang up. When I call the number back a recording comes on saying the number is a non-working number. What a pain they are!

I have been getting calls from 651-288-2873 twice a day, no one is ever on the other end. I paid a fee on a reverse search and the only info I got was that it was "marketing res a" in MN. I wish that it would stop.

They have called twice a day for over a week usally about 11:00 am and 8:00 pm, I pick up but there is never anyone on the other line and it hangs up. I recently moved into a house and for the past week (651) 288-2873 calls twice a day and when the answering machine picks up, then they hang up and leave no message.

I get calls from this number 2-3 times a day. When reading other posts it makes sense. I've had "local newspaper" people call to re-subscribe to the paper and they don't like taking NO for an answer. Guess that's what we get for trying to save a tree and money.

I put a trace on this number with my telephone company - it's called "Call Trace".  What I have to do is lift the receiver when that number calls, then hang up.  Then pick up the receiver again and dial *57, and after a few seconds a computer voice tells me the number was successfully traced.  They charge my telephone account $1 for each successful trace.  I just did my 2nd trace to that number.  After 3 successful traces then I can call a number the computer voice gave me to initiate deterrent action by my phone company or my local law enforcement agency.
I can't wait for #3 - get 'em!!!!!!

Sounds great. Question: does it work even if the caller has blocked his ID or has an unlisted number?

I guess only one way to know is to give it a try.  When the number calls, pick up the phone then hang up.  Pick it up again and dial *57 and wait to hear what the computer voice says.

It was a pushy sales guy from the local newspaper trying to get me to renew my Idaho Statesman subscription. He spoke really quick about the renewal part and finally just said all I had to do was to confirm my address. I asked again "confirm the address for what"? And then he says to renew the subscription! But, the calls stopped after saying "NO".

We were not available to take the call when our kids answered.  The person on the other end was irritated and hung up.

The caller says they are a local news. It is a sales person trying to get a newspaper subscription.

I just hand the phone to my three year old or my two year old. The kids babble at them and I hope annoy the idiots calling right back since I can't get them to stop soliciting. Maybe they will scream in their ear next time. LOL.

I have been getting calls from this number on my mobile phone for the past month.  I receive a call anywhere from 2-4 times a day.  When I answer the call there is no one there and when I call it back there is a recording that states this is a non working number.

Unsolicited call, never leaves message, calls 1-2 times daily.
Picked up once to verify not personal call or that caller knew who I was.

I live in Idaho, the caller sounded like he was based out of Louisiana, he talked fast and asked if they had the address right for our new house.  I hesitated and said yes.  He then said he would transfer me to his partner to confirm everything for my newspaper subscription.  When he put me on hold I hung up.  Haven't heard back from them yet and my cell phone has a blocking capability.  Going to contact the newspaper about it.  It sounded pretty fishy.
