A guy called and asked for me (he actually knew my name). When I asked who's calling, he hang up. I called back that number and got a 'Invalid number or code' recorded message.

This number is trying to reach me, has been calling me for a couple weeks now. Won't leave a voicemail. And I willnot answer or call back.

This number has called my house several times but never leaves a message.

Caller id says it is "local news" and the phone number is  651-288-2875.

If you call the number it is not in-service.

Calls coming from this number are getting irritating...Caller ID says Local News and the # is 651-288-2875.

When you call the number back it says number not in service.

So, how do you make it stop!?!!! This number calls me four times a day! When I answer, they hang up and you can't call it back. Is there any way to make it stop?!

A Marketing Research.  Number goes to a voicemail to leave a message and someone will get back to you.  Have left several messages to NOT CALL BACK.  Has no effect

Both myself and my husband have been getting calls on our cell phones a couple times a day for about the past month from this number!  It won't stop.  When I've made the mistake of answering, they are trying to offer to Pioneer Press Paper for sale (special deal).  I am getting other phone calls about the Pioneer Press Paper from other phone numbers as well.  All calls are very pushy and I've requested repeatedly for the people to stop calling me with offers simply stating that I am not interested.  It won't stop.  All calls received offering the "Pioneer Press" over the past month have been from the following phone numbers:  651-288-2875, 877-944-8544, 651-967-0338, 651-717-7377, 612-298-7027.

I received 9 phone calls over 3 days from this number.  I listed it in my cell as "don't answer".  I finally did answer it and found out to my surprise it was the St. Paul Pioneer Press trying to sell me their newspaper.  Funny thing though.  I ALREADY GET THE PRESS.  In fact I had just up'ed it to everyday from Fri-Sun.  To say I was impolite would be an understatement.  Even better, if you sign up for the Do Not Call registry (www.donotcall.gov) you will still receive these harassing calls if you have ever had a business relationship.  I have signed up my phones onto the DNC website and will now keep track.  If they call again there is a nice penalty.  So, I suggest you write down the dates and times, call the Pioneer Press and then start sending emails to the Better Business Bureau and the MN Attorney General.  Then maybe they'll stop.

I have received this call twice today.

Even if you are on the Do Call list I found out that if they buy both the state and federal list, they can still call you, but they have buy both list inorder to do this.  If you have had pervious business with them they are allowed to call you.

Inorder to file a complaint, if they will let you, You need the name of the business, street address, city, state, Zip Code, and phone number. I tried googling this company and nothing came up.

Just got this call today.  I saved it on my cell phone as DO NOT ANSWER so if they call again, I remember not to answer.

I also got a call from this dork - saying he's from the Pioneer Press.

I didn't call them.  I'll just use Jennifer's advise.

This number has been calling my cell phone on August 11 at 9:31 a.m. and 5:36 p.m. and August 12 at 2:33 p.m. I have missed all three calls and had not had a chance to pick up the phone when it calls.

651-288-2875 or other numbers for the Pioneer Press telemarketing repeatedly call.  We say no we do NOT want the paper - but they just won't quit calling.

Same jerk, different number.  We got calls from (651) 255-5855.  We sent an e-mail similar to the one below.  Those calls stopped.  The calls from (651) 288-2875 started recently.  What schmucks.  Here's what I found and what I did - good luck.  If he tests me, I will waste as much of my time and money as is necessary to make him stop.  Good luck to everyone else.

Take (651) xxx-xxxx off all of your damned lists now and don't ever add them to any more lists or sell the number or give the number to anyone else.  Retrieve it now at your expense if you have. If you don't, not only will I call the police and the attorney general, but I will sue off your backside.   As I warned, don't test me:  I've been practicing law for 25 years and I just love to feast off jerks like you.  This is your final warning.
