Called at 7 pm on a Sunday identifying herself as a caller from the State of Minnesota wanting information about my household.

Called around 6:45pm Sunday. Started talking but hung up when she heard my baby cry.

We received a call from the same number saying they were doing a survey of future health needs for the state of Minnesota. Wanted to know how many adults in the household, including those away at college. Wanted to speak to the person that was not me with the next birthday in the house. I declined to give anymore information. Seemed strange. Will be calling DHS to find out if they are really doing a survey tomorrow.

Left a 5 second voicemail with a one word message "okay".....really strange.

MN, USA. Received phone call indicating it was a survey from MN DHS regarding health satisfaction but never asked any questions regarding health only questions about my cell number

-then asked to talk to the other adult who shared the phone I said he was sleeping and she asked when a good time to call back  

Called and I didn't answer...left a voice mail stating they were conducting a survey for the State of Minnesota regarding health issues and topics such as alcohol, tobacco and drug use. They just called me back tonight and I answered. The lady repeated the same info....then proceeded to ask questions that didn't pertain to health at all
-are you over 18
-is my cell phone for personal, business use or both
-do I have a home phone
-am I over the age of 25
Stupidly, I answered all of her questions...waiting for the health questions. She then says that's all the questions she has for now...goodbye and hung up. Something about this call was not right.....creepy

 I don't even know how they got my cell phone number  Almost no one has it.  I told them I would not do the survey, and they still called back again.
I have a call in MN Dept of Health to notify them.

Called me on 3 different occasions, 1st time I didn't answer, 2nd time answer, the lady said she was from minnesota health  department, she wanted me to aswer question, I stated I wasn't interested and to take me ofc her list, I guess it doesn't matter if you say for them not to call, they'll call anyway.
3rd time,  I didn't answer, I called them back.

Missed three calls from this number. The calls were on a phone that I use very rarely, and almost nobody knows the number for it. There was one voicemail left, which sounded like a robo-call from DHS, asking about household makeup, etc. I have two Minnesota phone numbers; one one Verizon, which has not received any calls, and one on a T-Mobile prepaid line, which has received three of these calls. I assume that it is a scam, since I have received similar strange, scammy texts on my T-Mobile number but not my Verizon one.

It's a MN state govt survey.  Ha!  I no longer give the govt free information EVER!  They have proven to be untrustworthy and they are constantly gathering private information about you without your permission.  All in the name of "preventing terrorism" or some other [***].  These governmental [***] need to be sent a message that they have gone way over the line of acceptable behavior.  They work for US, we do not work for THEM!  

Got this same call on Friday, Jan. 23rd, they called again Jan. 24th, and again on the 31st. I don't know how they got my number, very few people have it. They did ask if it was a cell number and I said yes. They asked if they could call me at a different number and I said yes and stupidly gave them my home phone number. GRR!! They called back on the 24th and I said, I already got this call and have asked you NOT to call this number. Then the gal said, oh yes, I see the note. (Ya, right!) When they called on the 31st, I didn't answer. I've tired calling this number and it's ALWAYS busy doesn't matter what time of day/night. It must be some kind of scam.

They called my cell phone again! How do I get them to stop?!

I've tried calling them and all I get is a busy signal, that says something doesn't it?? Is this really the MN DHS? I highly doubt it!

Depending upon your cellphone, you may be able to set it to reject calls from this number.  If not, save it as a new contact, name it spam or survey or whatever you want then set the ringtone to silent, text to silent and alerts to silent. They can call but you will not hear them and not know they called unless you check for missed calls.

This may be an outgoing number that does not accept incoming calls. Many government agencies have setups like that. You can always look up the central number for the MN DHS and call them and ask about this survey. There does not appear to be anything on their website about a new survey being conducted but this may be a continuation of one from 2013 or 2014.  Of course government agencies at all levels are notoriously slow at updating their websites.

Same, Same all over again here call came in 8:40 p.m.

Called again this time 9:40 a.m. No message just a hang up.

Message was left indicating a MN DHS survey about Health care needs and behaviors.  What???
1st why call on a Sunday at 5:30pm, the internet address sounded weird with a "trouble sign" character in the address.  What the heck is a trouble sign in the web address anyway???  Never heard or seen such a character in an internet address.

Totally reeks of a scam and malicious intent!!!!

The number has been spoofed by scammers according to MN State Attorney General’s Office. They recommend not answering calls from 651-451-5843.

Call your phone provider and making them aware of the situation and having 651-451-5843 blocked by them.

If DHS wants to get a hold of you they will send you a letter, additionally call the MN DHS agency at 651-431-2000 and verify call.
