these guys who call say that they have a report from Microsoft that your computer is infected, THIS IS A SCAM.......... they will say that they are authorized by windows to access your computer by remote access to repair it.  DO NOT ALLOW THEM ANY ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER  They will steal your info. They move around the country like every couple of months, 100% of the calls I have gotten from these THIEVES are from idiots with an accent,   IT IS A SCAM, REPORT ALL CALL TO MiCROSOFT SECURITY.

Some guy called me today also saying he was from Microsoft. Same thing, wanted me to go on and get a number from the system so they could fix it. He said that I was being hacked into and he would fix it. I wouldn't give him any info as I knew it didn't sound right. He had an Indian accent. His number came up as being in MN.

I saw the caller ID from MN, answered as a business, but he still asked for me by name.  I asked him if he wanted to do business with my company, and he said he was sorry for the call and said goodbye.  He has an Asian accent.  I have answered as a business before, like "Nick's Pizza," and they leave me alone.

These people are calling three times a week.  Today I told them I was reporting them to the Attorney General of New Mexico.  They then said they would report me for hacking.  Which I then said you know wasn't true and hung up.  These people are horrible and I am reporting them to the Attorney General.

These people are the biggest losers around for sure. They have called too much everything about these calls are excessive. They want to introduce themselves and right away they are up to something. The first thing I do now is I hang up on them very hard. The person says he has called from windows he wants me to get into my computer. He then said he will test it for me and make sure it works. I told him don't call me he is a real jerk and he has no knowledge of computers at all. I'm going to report him any way I can and keep reporting him he is a weird nut I don't want him calling anymore.

Scammers from a Clara center! They tell you your computer has issues. Best bet is to wasteo a bunch of their time. Tell them you'll go turn on your computer, then just set the phone down.

They are the Biggest Loser --- Hopeless! I tried to resurrect their life by giving them advise. But it went over their head! I won't waste my valuable time anymore. Why do they come back w nothing good to offer? Talk is cheap. Either they DO something to convince they are worthy of me or just go jump off a bridge- good riddance.

Non-stop calls from these [***]!!!  Caller ID just says Minnesota.  I went to Best Buy and bought a new home desktop computer.  Set up new Windows/Microsoft Office software.  Few hours later I start getting calls, but I never answer. Came to this website to find out who it is, and everyone says it is some Microsoft scam.  I'm suspicious that when I set up my new software and entered my phone number, if Microsoft just sold ALL of my information to scammers!

I bought a new computer recently. From the manufacturer.  I did not enter my home number. I used a vm that I have used for the last 15 years that is set up just for these purposes (to avoid sales calls and being put on mailing lists) . So rest assured Microsoft did not sell your number neither did BestBuy.

PS : This is why it's ridiculous that the so-called "windows technicians" would call at a number that was never used anywhere. They also got a hold of my cell phone in the past (which I had given to less than 25 people and when I called anyplace my number came up as blocked!) Don't know how they got the number but I had to disconnect it due to the incessant spam and prank calls. Some of them were scary. From male voices, sounded menacing and strange, made me feel threatened.

Buy a phone blocking device and use it to block bothersome phone calls like this one.
Do not reply to any comments on this or any other forums.
Do not give your correct phone number whenever requested. Most requests are not necessary.
Do not answer calls from unrecognized numbers. Allow your answering machine to answer.
Do these things and you will cease to be bothered.

Got a call today, it's not the first time nor probably the last. I think up different ways to mess with them while giving out no information. My record of keeping them on the line without them hanging up was 20min (I like to waste their time since they're wasting mine) So today I took a different angle:

Them: (thick accent) I am calling from windows about your windows computer
me: Can I ask you one thing?
    Them: yes
me: Have you ever considered where you'll spend eternity? I mean ... have you secured you eternal salvation?!
    Them: <click>

I think that was the shortest time it's taken for them to hang up on me?

This number called three times yesterday.  Appreciate the "heads up" of previous contributors warning me not to answer.  Persistent and annoying.

651-698-4075 maybe other 651-698-xxxx numbers are from India, and they are running a scam in which they claim you Window computer has issues, which they can help you with. It surly results in a credit card or computer hack. Hang up, or if you're curious, lead them on to see what they really want.
