Got a call from this number at our business, but no message was left, so ignored it. Then got an order placed on our online ordering system for around $4,000 to be shipped to Singapore (some coffee syrups). I'm still in contact with the same person as in the information previously listed at the email address listed. He has tried three credit cards, all of which have been denied at this point. We are extremely suspicious of this. If any one has any specific information on what products this person tries to purchase, why, and how to handle this, please email us! info@greenbean-store.com. We are a small company, so a purchase this large would be amazing, but not if it is fraudulent. Thanks for your help!

Same story. This name and address and phone number wants to buy for a few thousands of gear from our online shop. Only wants to use credit card.

I received an order for approx. $3000 worth of coffee items yesterday and was given the heads up by an acquaintance.  The guy used this Telephone number 6567445711, same exact address as below, but he gave me an MC 5588-2130-0061-3206 exp. 03/12.  Checked with my Merchant Card service (COSTCO) for card authorization and it was delcined. Beware if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is:). aloha.....

would you please let us know the visa card number so we can block all of them from the issuer bank

Received an email from Tanaka Kechu <green_corp@techemail.com> asking for a shipping quote of 160 coffee bags to Singapore.  They stated that the would only place the order with me if I took their credit card information directly and that they would not go through Paypal (which is our payment gateway).  I'm assuming that Paypal can easily track them if they use their services.  So, I told the "customer" that I would only be able to accept payment through Paypal.  I'm assuming I'll never hear back from them.

I received an e-mail from this guy yesterday (9/3/09) and was so excited (being a small business just starting up) but now after reading all of this, I'm sure this is a scam.  He wrote that he saw our coffee on www.guata-java.com and he wanted to order 160 lbs of whole beans but didn't want to pay through PayPal.  I guess I'm not going to hear back from him either after I told him we only accept payment via PayPal.  Oh well.  Nice thought while it lasted.

I also received an email from a William Ng who wanted to purchase archery equipment from me. I did not have this phone number or Taneka Kechu (sounds like catch you) and they did. The address that I shipped the bows to is the same as Kechu's address. I was out over $1600 once the chargeback came back on the credit card he used. The names that he used on other credit cards were: Monica Ng and Jason Chow. It makes no difference what items that you are selling, he schemes for all of them. the email that he sent to me was from william_ng@juno.com You can file a complaint with the FBI at http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx
I'm told that nothing can be done because it is in Singapore, but if enough of us complain maybe someone will do something. I figure that my class on credit card fraud only cost me $1600, beware!

We also got an email from this email address, "green_corp@techemail.com"
that he wants to order two items, qty. 80 from each, the total worth from the items was about $500, and he was ready to pay for shipping (of course express) about $2000, he gave us a visa ending with ...5947, We where extremely suspicious of this, so we told him that we will charge the card and 2 weeks later will we send out the order, hoping that if the card is stolen we should hear in the mean time from the owner, but we didn't hear back from no one, we was almost ready to send out the order, with “Gods” help we came across to this info. And we will not ship out this Order, Thanks to all of you for the help!!

We are wondering why we didn't hear anything from the owner of the card?

Received the following email today, Sept 09. Have not responded due to above reports.

This guy tried to order $4000.00 worth of R.C. Toy cars from us! When ever we see an order from singapore, it always throws up a red flag for us..We just deleted the order when we came across this site!

Received an email from andreashop@netzero.com wanting to know if we accept Visa or Mastercard and do we ship to Singapore. Replied we do and they placed a large order. Looked and smelled like fraud. Just read all your information and has now confirmed.

90% of inquiries from Singapore turn out to be fraud.  WE have had some fun with the crooks.  Requiring photo id and other funny things.  Sometimes they will even go to the trouble to fake an id and scan it LOL!

If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.  Orders with multiple items and large quantities of single items are usually a tip off.  Always ask them for the card issuing bank phone number, and reserve the right to hold international orders indefinitely for address verification.
