Card Services calling to lower my credit card debt interest rate.  Auto message directs me to press "1 " if Interested. I  press the number "1" and get a live person saying "HELLO, HELLO, HELLO, IS ANYONE THERE? HELLO, HELLO" and I wait until I hear a hang up signal & I hang up my receiver also.  If everybody that is called does the same, their operators can waste all their time talking to nobody.

This was the call today - everyday it's a different number I don't know. I never answer.

Same here. The DNC laws aren't worth a tinker's damn. At least I can block the number.

They robocalled me, I let them connect me their person and I asked to be put on their do not call list.  She asked if I knew why they called, I said yes and that it didn't matter, I wanted to be on the DNC list. She said they'd try back again when I was in a "better mood".  BS, fact chance of that.

This may be a case of call spoofing where people use another valid phone number to show up on your caller ID.  DO NOT give them any of your financial or credit card information.  This could be an attempt to defraud you through credit card or other financial access.  

Today after questioning the caller in detail... she refused to provide where they were located other than Tempe Az, refused to give me there corporate name and state they are incorporated in, and refused to txfr me to a manager.  I then told her I had reported them to several federal agencies, ATT Fraud Services for mis-use of a phone number that did not belong to them, and contacted local newspapers of the locations where phone numbers they are spoofing are located.  She told me I had too much time on my hands and hung up!

These people keep calling every 10 mintues!!!  I will not answer the phone!! I am not sure why they feel they can just keep calling over and over when no one answered in the first place.  Can anything be done about people like this?

Received a call from this number it was automated asked if I was happy with my credit card rates I hung up. It came up on my caller Id with just the phone number.

They called and caller ID said wireless caller, from California was the area code, left no mesage. When I have no message left it is neither a scam, telemarketer. etc. next time I'll answer and hang up. These jerks should be shot.

Got a call from this number today.  Didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number from caller ID.  I have blocked this caller but I'm now up to 9 blocked calls and only allowed 12.  I can't understand why I'm getting so many of these robo calls.  None of my friends are getting them.

Sick and tired of this caller from California. I pressed 1 and asked them to put me on their DNC list. I have asked to speak to a manager and they hang up. I have called the number and their mailbox isn't taking any messages. This same call comes from different locations and is very annoying. I live in Virginia and use Verizon service. Is there anything we can do to stop these people ? I pulled up this site right after a call from them and received another while I was typing this.

File the online consumer complaint form with the FCC!  It doesn't take any more time than it takes to google a phone number and leave a message on a message board.  Here's a link to the form: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.  The person who called me today had the same BS message they always do about credit card rates, and I told them I was going to file a complaint.  She said to "go ahead" and hung up.  I've been wanting to formally complain for ages, and boy -- it felt good to finally do it!  I'm going to do it every time I get one of these annoying calls in the future.

I got the very same thing. No. came up on Caller ID as Wireless and did not leave a msg.

This credit card company keeps calling to ask if I want to lower my interest rates on any of my existing cards. They call from different numbers listed to different states so they cannot be persued by the government no call list. If I don't answer the phone they do not leave a message. Caller ID states wireless call and gives this number. I get probably 3 of these a week but from different states, different numbers.

Got call from this number today. I did not answer it, and they did not leave a message. However, caller ID said it was a wireless caller. After reading posts on this list, I'll report it to the FTC. You can report violations of the DNC list on their website.

It's not a company with which I've had a prior relationship, nor is it a non-profit. I've only had about three of these sneak through the DNC list. When I report them, they stop calling. Funny, never had any DNC list violators before I moved to KS.

Various numbers call to tell me this is my final notice to lower my interest rate on credit cards. When I ask them to remove my number from the data base, they hang up on me.  I also told them that I was calling the attorney general's office and their response; 'yeh, right'.  Very annoying

Will be reporting to do not call as well as I'm on their list.  Yes, this is a cell phone number I found out, Huntington Beach, Calif.
