    Text inquiring about expensive equipment for sale. This type wants to pull the PayPal scam. (PayPal scam is where they fake a payment, you hand over the merchandise, find out later you have not really been paid). They do using fake emails, even have a fake website. Only way to know for sure, log onto PayPal as you would normally. NEVER click on an email for login. Unless you exactly what to watch for, I know what to watch for, and still do not click on emails...
    This scammer lurks Craigslist.

    Dec 9 2015 - this number texted me offering to buy my car on Kijiji for asking price 650. He said he is an ex military officer and asked for my paypal email address to send funds. I told him what the internet is saying about his scam and he never replied.
