I don't know who these people are but they call & then use a block over n over. So annoying! :(

Called and didn't leave a message.  

Called, when I answered no one replied.

What a coincidence that when Time Warner Cable activated this line (which used to be mine 7 years ago and has NEVER been recycled meaning that it's not in any internet database as active) that within a few hours of having this number I received a call from these people as well as a charitable number 502-964-2411 within four minutes of each other. I find no coincidence in it at all. Confirmed with Time Warner Cable that this number is private and unlisted. This is bull. They sell our phone numbers.

In some cases that may be true.
However, it is no longer necessary for scammers to BUY numbers!
Here is one way the scammers can get your phone number.
Basically, they use a 'war dialer' that generates 10-digit numbers, then dials them.
Here is a short example, using a computer script only a few lines long. (Caveat: At least some of those numbers might be "real", but all were generated by a random number generator).  Feed those numbers into a tone generator, and beep-beep-boop, the scammer might call YOU!

Oh .... another use for that random number generator is to create phony numbers to send to your Caller ID, to mislead you about the source of the call, when the scammer calls you.

Called twice in quick succession, left no message. Nothing on caller ID.  

Called yesterday once and today twice.  I called the number back on my cell phone and a recording came on which stated that this line is being used for political polling.

Called my landline twice in a row. Left no message.

Got calls from this number. Never left a message. Answered one time and there was no one there.

I keep getting this number 334-548-0980 calling every other day (give or take) for a little over a week now at random times throughout the day - they never leave a message, and I haven't bothered answering.

No message left.

Called yesterday (June 29) @ 4:49 P.M. CT. I didn't answer, and they left no message.

These people keep calling me...never leave a message. Completely annoying!

Thanks for the tip regarding the 660 area code.  
I looked into my blocked area code list and saw that I did not have the 660 area code blocked.
I have now primitively blocked the 660 area code using my digi tone call blocker plus!
Between our home and business lines, we have about 95 area codes blocked.
It's getting quiet around here!  Our phones do not ring when a blocked call comes in - not even once!
BTW each area code has the potential of 10,000,000 phone numbers!
