person called asking for someone other than me and i would like to know what company this was

There's a connection to (510) 815-1358 - my friend has received calls now  from both of these numbers, claiming that she owes money to JC Penney. (She doesn't.)

Tryin to discover who it is that is calling from this number.

I answered the phone and took them ten seconds to respond.  was then put on hold for two minutes and then disconnected 2 minutes later.

Some woman in a heavy accent asked for me. I have a name which is difficult to pronounce so it obvious to me when its a company and not a friend. I assume its a collection agency.

Got a call from this number.  Did not answer before they hung up.  Hit redial and it would not connect.

Oh Well...

Person won't tell me details of who it is trying to get a hold of me.  They have called me 4 times already.  They said they were an operator trying to connect a call but the call never connected.  Weird, sounds like a scam.  I will be monitoring my phone records and bank accounts.

Person identified himself as Mr. Jones from ARS.

ARS is a collection agency.

calling for another person. would not give me callers name and hung up.

Did not answer this call but have received other calls from ARS using different phone numbers.  When I told them that my phone number belonged to me and not the person they were looking for.  They became very angry when I refused to give them my name.  DO NOT give out any information to this caller!

Called did not leave a message. called back...  was online so missed answering the call...

Someone called me on my cell phone asking for me by my former married name.  As soon as I responded with my legal last name, I no longer had a connection.  I tried calling this number from my work phone and just kept getting a busy signal.  They made no attempt to call me back considering they were obviously wanting to talk to me and they knew my former married name.  I don't give my cell number out so this was a little strange and had me a little concerned.

i too recieved a call from 661-243-7212 today 8-9-07 and was surprised to find out it is tied into ARS they have been calling for weeks, about an old debt discharged years ago and suposedly reinstated by capital one. here are two other numbers they have used recently to try and contact me 866-213-7006 and 760-735-8531 good luck to all who need it.

Past 2 days received calls from different numbers connected to this ARS.  In reading the links provided about Citibank I am wondering if they are attempting to collect a discharged debt from almost 10 years ago.  They are calaling my cell number, which is odd because the number has changed 4 times in 10 years.  They only ask for me and when I question who they are and can I take a message they hang up providing no information at all about what they want.  Mighty strange if you ask me.

I recieved a call from 661-243-7212 they would not tell me who they work for, only that they are a dialer company and that i needed to hold the line.  they put me on hold, and it rang several times, then i was disconnected

Saw a missed call from 661-243-7212. When i call back I get the old Ma' Bell three beep disconnected number tone, then a message that my call did not go through and to please try again.
