Wanted information I didn't have, and wouldn't have wanted to give if I had.

My neighbor just came over and told me that Vanessa(661-328-6632) called her house for me I do not need any problems with her please leave her out of this.  Also called my home and laughed on my voice mail

The first time they called i did not answer since it said private name.  When they called back a couple of minutes later I answered and they asked if I could put a note on my neighbors door.  I told the woman no.  I was thinking she must be kidding.

caller calls and leaves no message.  Believed to be a collection agency. I can hear that someone is on the line but they don't say anything.  Call came in at 8:15pm.

This is an annoying caller. Who screams out when the phone isn't answered. I have turned down my sound on my machine. They call at all hours and its getting to the point of ridiculous. We have decide to ignore the calls at this point.

These people have harassed me and the receptionist where I work. I have explicitly told them twice now to not call my home, office or any phone number what so ever. I informed them I do not discuss supposed debt on the phone with any random yahoo that calls. The calls not only kept coming but they increased in frequency. I work for a government contractor and because we deal with classified data all calls into our office are recorded. We have 3 recordings of them harassing (using abusive language) our receptionist and a police report was filed Friday.

The interesting thing is the Government uses these same asshats that clearly break the law and have no respect for rules, regulations, or ethics. For me, this only makes me less willing to cooperate. Ironically I set out about 1 month ago to clean up my outstanding debts and am fully capable of paying this off within 1 years time but the recent phone call harassment is making me play "hardball" now... A check for $1 is in the mail. =)

They called your friggin neighbor and asked them to put a note on your door? I would be on the next thing smoking to Bakersfield, CA with a 34-inch Easton in my hand.

Let minimum wage losers they employ crack me up... And there are always located in some white trash armpit like Bakersfield, CA.

One other thing to note -- I'm not sure if this is them yet but I started getting text messages to my phone about the same time these losers started calling my home phone. I just ordered an investigation thru AT&T which is a required precursor to filing a police report which is a precursor to a lawsuit (my ultimate goal).

My home phone number has not been given to ANYONE so I know when it rings it is someone who has obtained my number thru other than ethical means... I only use it for outgoing calls and normally have the ringer off completely but I have a buddy out of work living with me right now and he is needing it for his job search.

Here is how you avoid these asshats -- get a phone in another state (mine is in San Diego, CA where I used to live) under a friend's name. Get a home phone and don't use it for anything but outgoing calls. Turn off the ringer.... and enjoy your right to privacy and peace.

Credit is overrated!

My mother received a call today from these idiots looking for my husband.  She said her name was "Angie" & an old friend of ours and was now living in California.  She proceeded to ask my Mom if my husband was still working @ "XYZ", if his wife was staying home with the kids or working.  She was wanting my mom to give out our personal information.  Fortunately, my mom doesn't give out info to anyone she doesn't know.  When I researched and found out who the company was, I was annoyed, baffled, and pretty pissed off that they'd call my family.  My husband had a student loan & they're trying to collect on it obviously.  But, this loan originated long before we were together or knew each other.  They have never attempted to send any written confirmation of this debt to us.
