They call every night and ask for my son.  I speak to them in Dakota and of course nobody understands it so they hang up.  On caller ID it gives NRDC and the phone number

Fortunately, they called on my land line and i was on my cell. I have no friends or family with collection problems, so i don't know why they are calling me. I did a *69 to see who had called, and it was 661-670-2582.

Caller ID shows calls from this number.  No message.

The calls from that number are The Downers Group. They call for non profit organizations, usually ones you have donated to, they call me for the NRDC.

Constantly calling, want removed

Calls everyday. I am cancelling my membership to NRDC.

Called, left no message. Argh!

These people keep calling me.  They don't say anything, no message.

I answered the call and could hear the tone change to a slight background noise change.  Caller listened as I responded "Hello.... Hello.... Please speak up.... " but continued to remain silent then hung up.

'Called back and got "Downers Group, calling on behalf of the Natural Resources Defense Council."

Must switch donations to a 501(c)3 organization that does not make illegal hang-up calls.

CORRECTION:

It is the DONOR SERVICES GROUP that uses NRDC member contact information to harass its members.

In addition to illegal hang-up calls, when it does raise funds, less than half of the funds that are raised go to the non-profit that it alleges itself to be working for.
