Got a call and there was only piano music playing.  I waited and said "hello" thinking it would start a recording.  Nope - just piano music.

I suppose that you have a Microsoft TechNet Plus subscription that is up for renewal. I googled this number and others have posted this response.  Like you, I had a vm that just "hung up" after a couple seconds.

Confirming it is indeed Microsoft calling about TechNet subscriptions. They left an automated voice mail for me offering reduced pricing for a subscription renewal.

Got this call twice a day over the past two days.  Yes we have several TechNet subscriptions that will expire at the end of the month, so I'm assuming from other posts that it is Microsoft calling us about that.  My receptionist answers and gets music that plays for about 15 seconds and then the call disconnects.  I suppose I'll have to renew our subscriptions just to get them to stop calling and bothering my people.

These guys are way too aggressive at pursuing TechNet renewals.   I've been called several times a day for a few weeks.   The past few times I told them I cannot renew at this time, since I've been laid off.   They claimed they would take my name off the call list, but have called several times more within just 24 hours since then.   Give me a break!

Technet subscription renewal. Aggressive sales, but I was wanting to renew anyway. I'm glad that the call did come from microsoft, I was worried half way through "what if this is a scam trying to get my credit card number"... but I'm glad to see that other people have had technet subscription calls from this number.

They have been calling me for more than two months now. My TechNet subscription is not going to expire for another couple weeks.

I told them I would renew my TechNet subscription when I decided to get around to it, and they still keep calling.

What part of 'I will do it when I decide I am ready' do they not comprehend?

One more call from these people, and I will not renew, I will tell M$ that I am not renewing because of these people, I will file a complaint with the BBB and the California Attorney General against these people.

They called and heard background noise of typing and other people.
Caller ID name was "BERTELSMAN MEDI"

If there's one way you wan to guarantee I'll never give to your charity or buy your service then annoy me with endless calls. I had a TechNet subscription 2 years ago that I let expire because I no longer work in the same IS job where I need this. I told them 2 years ago that I don't need or want TechNet anymore and to take me off their call list. And they are still calling - two years later.

Makes sence.  Thing is, my subscription has been renewed and they still call me, with NO VM.

I'll about to blacklist them on my PBX.

I'm writing up a "nice" e-mail for them.

Numerous calls from this number - very annoying as it is my cell.  No idea how they would get this number.

My subscription was going to expire. I renewed my subscription and they still kept calling me! The problem was that I didn't activate my renewal. I didn't read my confirmation email as I figured I already had a technet account, just renewed it, I just filed it for records. Guess you need to activate a renewal too!

I do have Technet but didn't answer.  If this is them and they harass like others have stated, then I will block their number.

Technet has gotten worse every year, and is no longer worth it.  It's become a waste of money.  If you subscribe now (unlike in the past) your keys will expire when your subscription ends.  That is total theft by Microsoft,

Keeps calling daily and just hangs up, no voicemail, no music, nothing.
