No message left.  Caller ID said "Dir Asst MS".  Why would Directory Assistance in Mississippi be calling me and not leaving a message.  I am blocking it.

Against my better judgement I called the number back and was asked for the number of my mobile phone that had been shut off.  I don't have a mobile phone.

The man with a heavy Indian accent said they were getting error messages from my computer, Windows Vista program.

Indian speaking person trying to scam me about Microsoft Virus on my computer.

Hindu voice, calling me at 8 am telling me that my computer was slow, I told him off and hung up on him, this is getting ridiculous, how they bother at all times of the day, and have the nerve to talk to you as if they know you.
My advice hang up as soon as you hear a voice you don't recognize.

Said Mississippi on my phone.  Left no message.  Googling the number says MS directory assistance with a further note that it is used by telephone lobbyists.

My outgoing message says: Thank you for calling. You know, we are in the 21st century and we get many whacko call.  If you don't leave a message and we don't recognize you phone number, the next time you call it will automatically be rejected.  Have a nice day!"
And these jerk's did not leave a message. Dir Assist MS.

This is actually a company that traces back to India. The company is a "support.me" scam and they'll actually infect your machine with a keylogger and a trojan horse which will allow them full access to your system. I've been chasing them for years. Sorry they haven't been shut down yet.

Indian accented man telling me that my computer is downloading virus.  Told him, no it wasn't and  stop bothering me.  He insisted I was having problems with computer.  Told him I was going to report him and then I hung up.

You said you blocked the number, can u please tell me how? I am getting calls from at least 8 of their #s all starting with diff. area codes followed by 555-xxxx or 555-0xxx so please tell me how to block 'em from my cell... Thk u!

I got the same kind of response from them, my computer is sending them stuff, it is all a scam, I blocked the number and shall continue to block such calls....

You either have to have caller block on your home phone or your telephone system can block it within itself, if the phone you have allowed for it like mine, I just program the number in, and set it to not ring at all if a call comes from that number, if you do not have  called block, call your phone company and tell them why.

I have been bothered a lot by this company not being a computer expert I do not know what to
do with this Indian Company. Looks like only you could nail them down.
