Received call on landline.  Did not answer. No message left.  Name unavailable

Received call on landline. Came up as unavailable.  The guy knew my name. His accent was very hard to understand. After asking him to repeat himself numerous times, he wanted me to turn on my computer so he could do a test to see if there were harmful viruses on it..  Told him I did not feel comfortable doing that from a random call and unavailable number. Hung up.  

I just received a call from a # 665-273-8856, they were claiming to be from the technical support department that supports windows. They wanted me to give them my computer info, and address, and also a credit card number so they could update my software. Told him no, and hung up.

Called my cell.  Claimed to be from Westech and started asking about my computer, Told him I didn't have one.  He said maybe a laptop.  I said no and he hung up.  Found two Westechs, but he wasn't representing either of them.  Scam.

Boiler room full of foreigners trying to get into your computer because of something they detected.  This is a fraud and has been reported on TV as a scam.   Told him to get a real job, and called him a fraud and hung up.

Wow, they're busy today, I got a call from them too. Glad I hung up immediately and looked this up.

It's happened twice before.  This time I received the call on my cell phone, and I was ready.  I listened to the guy's BS for awhile then told him that the CIA has been tracking these calls and they know where he is and they probably even know who he is.  Then I said that I just learned that a drone is circling over his location and that he had better drop the phone and get the hell out of there because in less than two minutes he going to have a missile up his a**.   I immediately heard a clatter that I have no doubt was the phone falling, followed by a lot of yelling, and finally silence.  I'm still laughing.

Ha! I love it! I need to practice my speech now too.

Wow he was busy to today. My sister answer my phone today , could hardly understand him . Said he was from globe tec.  And I got viruses in my pc. She called him ever name in the book and a few choice ones too.

Fix your computer over the phone scam.  The company name is Wiztech.

Received second harassing call from 335-727-8577

The guy is busy! I've received two calls from him today... The first he told me he was from "Geek support America", he also needed me to be in front of my computer to fix a problem. After pressing him for who he was he informed me that his company writes all the software for all computers! Wow that's a big company! I told him that didn't make any sense, and he hung up on me.
On the second call, he informed me he was from a company called "IT Tech support", and wanted to know if I was in front of my computer yet. I said no, and he informed me he could call back.  I asked for his number so I could call him back; and he promptly hung up on me!
I assume scam! But if not, he really needs to work on his people skills! Ha Ha

There was a lot of of noise in the background as though the caller was in a call center.   The caller, foreign male, kept saying hello and eventually hung up.

Same thing with me.  I said I don't own a computer and they hung up.

I received a call on my cell and the operator on the other end tried to tell me their was something wrong with my computer.  Asked me to log on and tell me what numbers I saw.  I replied,  I see the letters "GO TO HELL"  I repeated this three times then a supervisor got on the line and tried to say mam, there should be numbers, I repeated the letters and then said, that this spells, GO TO HELL, he got so mad, and it was so worth every moment.  I told him that I was reporting this number to the Better Business Bureau and then I sang really loud to him..... Ha!

Didn't pick up this call today because I have gotten several calls from this fraudulent area code.  I don't understand why these area codes can't be blocked.

Got the call about an hour ago on our landline but I don't pick up the phone for UNKNOWN numbers so I did not have to suffer through the BS.  Good to know I didn't miss anything.  Congress won't take any action on these types because they'll be squelching someone's entrepreneurial opportunity to make money.

Received a call on my cell, super hard to understand due to accent & call center noise. He said his records showed that my computer was owned by me. I said of course, it's mine. He started talking about his records shower my computer was...and I stopped him and said 'what's the  name if your company?' He said it didn't matter because his records...,I said it does matter, this sounds like a scam & I wanted to talk to his manager. He said he was his manger, also his manager's manager. Back & forth, Him: why does this sound like a scam? Me; what's the name of your company? Multiple times. Said I was going to report it to BBB, him: why? Me: what's the name of your company until he hung up. Scam

Amazing people fall for these scams! Claiming my Windows has a virus and they are going to help me fix it.  Told him he was wrong my computer is fine.  He said he got a message from my computer.  Wow my computer is communicating with India now?  Wow it gets around more than I do!  LOL  After playing with this guy I told him again it was impossible that my Windows computer had a virus and he asked why, "Because I have a MAC" you idiot!  Ummmmm yes he hung up.  This must be the 10th time they have called over the past couple of years.  I find if fun to just mess with them.  Try it some time. :)

Also received a call and the same thing about my computer.  Just hung up.  Wish these people could be traced and put out of business.
