just got a call from this # and I answered. It took a few seconds, but someone with an Indian or Pakistani type accent came on the line & said a company name that I did not understand & proceeded to tell me they were calling "about your computer".  At that point I said B/S, goodbye. And I hung up. That's it.

A Scam.

yup its a tech support scam were they pretend do that you have a security alert, and they show you the event viewer as a justification as to why your computer has problems. try to leach tons of cash from you so that they fix absolutely nothing and load your computer with a ton more spyware

I just received a call from this number 30 minutes ago.  Very static filled call, came up as UNKNOWN CALLER.  I didn't pick up the phone but the answer machine picked up and all I could hear was someone with an accent saying, "Hello....hello.....hello".  Then they hung up.

Yes, just got the same call "regarding your computer" I didn't let it go much further said I didn't call you and there's
nothing wrong with my computer.  I tried to be nice as I don't want a call in the middle of the night LOL..... Must be a scam!

I just got the same call also. They called me by name. I responded yes and then they disconnected.   It was a poor crackly connection like others mentioned with an Asian accent as well. They are fishing / experimenting . Don't know what for but can't be good,

Received phone call from 665-295-9664. Lucky for me the answering picked up and they left a "hello" message. Glad Ilooked up the area code before I returned the call.

Indian/Pakistani accent.  said it was "Reported" someone was clicking on things that were letting in Dangerous sites into our Microsoft Windows.that could not be detected by normal Anti Virus Software. Evasive when questioned.  Admitted we did NOT call them. I hung up on her!

I got a call from this number earlier today & the man, speaking in an Indian accent, told me he was calling from PC Speedy about my computer. I knew it was [***], but I played along for a bit.  I told him I did not know anything about PC Speedy & he said some general nonsense about how they are a computer maintenance company.  

He went on to say he was calling about my computer running Windows.  I said my computer did not run Windows.  That was OK, he said, we also service Apple operating system computers.  I said I did not have a Mac OS machine either.  He got very confused since I had earlier mentioned that I did have a computer, but he asked me to explain how a computer worked without Windows or Apple.  

I told him my computer runs on Ubuntu.  I had to repeat this several times and it was evident to me that he had no idea what I was talking about.  He assured me that I was mistaken.  Perhaps this was a label on my monitor or something.  After a while I told him that if he did not know what Ubuntu is that he could not be calling from a computer company that knows what it is doing.  

He hung up.  

    I noticed the area code and immediately thought "Credit Card Scam".  I answered to see what they
might want.  The man had a strong India/Pakistan accent and proceeded to tell me how messed up
my Windows system was.  I played with him for 30 minutes until we got to the part where he was telling
me to run a "Web" program that would allow him into my computer.  These bozo's had my name and
address along with my cell number, said it was public domain, uh huh.  I asked if they were wanting to
sell me something, that is when the discussion started to go south.  Appears they are blanketing my
area as I was at my elder parents' home last week and my 93 year old mother got one of these calls.
She passed it to me and it went south quickly, the lady hung up on me!  Imagine that!  Just be careful
as they are scamming.  Got a call from 680-336-7699 a couple of minutes after my personal call and
did not answer.  FYI
