- Susan| 3 repliesGot a call a few minutes ago from this number. The man calling (sounded foreign) stated he received an error message associated with my computer and that someone is logging on and using my computer unbeknownst to me. Wanted me to sign onto my computer and follow his instructions so he could 'fix' the problem. Sounds suspicious to me.
- BillExtremely heavy accent - could hardly understand him. Said that he was from Microsoft and had received an error message from my computer. Told him I didn't own a computer and hung up. Either Microsoft needs work in their hiring practices, or scammers like this guy need to work on their English.
- Anita| 1 replySame as Bill above ~ just how stupid do these folks think we are? And to be honest ~ I don't have a computer at home. Have enough of it at work all day.
Scam artists just aren't as smart as they think they are. I just may try calling them & see if I can mess with them a bit. Believe it's called Karma! - PatReceived call same as Susan above. Very heavy accent. I told him I wasn't home to see my computer. He said he would call back in 3 hours. I told him not to call back.
- TheresaI just received a similar call from this foreign guy. I told him I would take it to Geek Squad and he hung up.
- JC from PASame as above... Got a call from this idiot previously and got a great idea from my wife. I got a Police Whistle... all I know is that when I was done blowing the whistle he had hung up....lol
- Caller: said was from Microsoft
- LoraSame as everyone else very thick middle Eastern accent saying his name was Robert Walker and that he was from Microsoft and that I was having problems with my computer. I said what computer I don't have one. These people make me sick trying to scam people, usually the elderly. Get a real job.
- EdithCalled my cell telling me the same thing, that my computer is being hacked. Then told me they were getting ready to close but he would call back tomorrow night because he would be working overtime.
- KTOWNCell call from the dummy ( john - oh yeah ) asked him very nicely to hang on a minute ans while on speaker put the phone down - every time he asked if i was there i asked loudly for him to hold on - only worked 3 times 😀😀
- Caller: UNKNOWN
- gidget replies to SusanIt is suspicious. They get you to sign on and hack your computer. It happened to me. He was getting all my information while I thought he was fixing my computer. He called here again tonight. I told him he was a liar and stop trying to steal from people. Dont let him do this to you. Tell him off.
- Laura replies to AnitaI tried calling this number back you get a busy signal..
- KarenI received the exact same call today. I asked the caller's name, he said "James Miller," yeah, right! He sounded like he had a thick Indian accent, and at times, I could not understand him at all. He said he was from Microsoft and that someone from a foreign country was hacking into my computer. I did not believe him in the least. I told him I was very busy and had to hang up. I called the above number and was told I could not be connected to that number as it was given to me, no surprise there? I then asked him how he got my cell number and name, and he said I was a Microsoft special customer, wrong answer! Just hung up on him!
- j. MironCaller identified himself as a Microsoft engineer, stating the my computer was in danger from a virus, or hacker. He was rude and insistent that there had been numerous messages sent to my computer, but was unable to identify which computer was a problem. He also said the problem could be fixed for a fee over 400.00
- Caller: Microsoft
- Dianne S[***] with foreign accent so heavy I could not understand him. Second time i
I asked him to repeat why he was calling me he asked "Are you dumb? I am speaking very clearly." I told him do do something too profane to type here and hung up. Dumbass scammer.- Caller: Microsoft
- JohnThank you to everyone here for explaining their experience. I just had the same experience with a guy with Indian accent. My phone scrambled and I now know that it is a scam.
- GlendaReceived the same call as all the others listed above. He said he was from Microsoft and my computer was being hacked. I asked him how he knew and he again said he was from microsoft. I said " what if I told you that I do not have a computer". He said something that I couldn't understand and hung up. Do they really think we are so stupid that we believe what they say? I could hardly understand him.
- orunmilareceived a call from the same dummy, when I told him wont give him any info. asked me if I was an atheuis, lol. not to say the least I hung up on the moron, please NOBODY GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFO.
