This must be yet another one of the numbers those debt scammer jerks are trying to use.

678.265.1568 is only one of over 25 numbers they have used to call my cell phone. The debts they purchase and try to collect on are past each state's statutes of limitations. Don't respond if U not knowing your rights agree to make payments the debt becomes current...! Please look up your debtor rights for your state, before U deal with this company if at all... This company and there employees are ruthless and will continue to make harassing calls for years banking on the hope U don't know your rights... Good luck

One of 25+ numbers for portfolio recovery.  Debt is 12 years old from a previous marriage.

These people are low lifws. Trying to collect on debt that is 15+ years old.
Calling from different numbers from all over the nation.
I just don't answer.

me too.  Sometimes I like to mess with them and tell them take me to court.  There is also a form letter I might send out for them stop contact with me.  But mostly, I just add the new numbers to my cell phone reject list.  Times are tough.  The callers must work on commission.  Probably out of their homes.  But they are so rude and never let you get a word.  Finally I asked one of them if I could talk?  Then I started asking her if she liked to Gamble (since I live in Las Vegas) and if she drank....she finally hung up.

Portfolio Recovery scumbags call me ever day! I don't owe anyone anything and have told them many times. It has been years and they are still calling every day including Sunday. I haven't answered the phone in over a year. There should be a law against these scumbags.

Save each number, send all calls straight to voice mail.

Just got a call from 678-265-1568, Portfolio Debt Collectors. Ruthless scumbags trying to collect on debts included in bankruptcy!

They called me tonight from this # - gal seemed nice and made it seem legit but I figured out it wasn't.  Heard people celebrating and high-fiving partway through the call...they must have just scored commission off some poor old lady.  Too sad that people actually do this for a living.

been getting calls from all different numbers from Portfolio Recovery. Today I received calls from 2 new numbers: (702)410-7069 & (678) 265-1568. They are scam bags. Never answer your phone if you don't know the number.

I was in Bankruptcy. These people bought out 10 year old debts, which I have a legal paper showing the debts FORGIVEN. They began calling me back in June 2010. I do not normally answer their calls. I was on the phone the other night and they beeped in, without thinking, I answered the call. The woman called me by my first name, as though she was a friend. I asked who was calling, she told me her first name and when I asked,"From where" (meaning what company), she said,"Tennessee and it concerns personal business."
I told her I do not have personal business with anyone in Tennessee and hung up the phone.
They are also blocking their name and number and calling numerous times almost daily. They cannot get
through at all because I have a block against no names and no numbers.

I have been getting calls for the past couple of months from these people that show up as "PORTFOLIORECOV"
However, neither my husband nor I have ANY debt. We rent a home and own all of our cars. The only credit cards we have are American Express that have to be paid off at the end of each month. So beware of anything they tell you as they are obviously scam artists.

I usually let the fax machine grab it, but after so many calls I decided to answer. I didn't let the lady say much and she listened to me yell at her for several minutes before she hung up. I kind i wish I had let her say why she was calling. Oh well.

a few times i sent a letter to tell them  i'm aware of their calls.  1 i am deaf
i do not use phone for voice communication. 2. although i have a phone service
i do not have a phone. the service solely used for a computer hook up to internet.

and they still call......  they can go eight ahead and knock themselves out!!

I have recently started receiving calls from a number that looks like it is my neighbor. It will be the same number as mine except one number changed. They are tricky. This is on a credit card that I quit paying on in 2003 when I got laid off.

How do they get cell phone numbers? If you EVER apply for credit using your cell phone number it is fair game in the credit report market. NEVER use your cell phone when applying for credit.

Wrong camel breath, I DO use my cell when applying for credit because I can block their numbers or set them to "No Ring." And I can change my cell number with ease. Its my home landline number that I hold sacred and don't want to change, so I never use that with creditors.
