called & left 9 second silent message

Probably hoping you will answer so they know someone lives at that number.
And then comes the telemarketers, scam calls and so much more......all from just picking up a ringing phone even though the number is not familiar and we can't wait to see if a message is left by someone we know.

I have received numerous calls all with no Msg. Scam or telemarketers...just got new Phone # few weeks ago too

This number calls multiple times per day, starting at 8:30am. They do not leave messages. Very annoying.

I blocked them weeks ago. They still call, but my phone doesn't ring.

Called them back via *67 late Saturday afternoon when they are out of the office and their answering machine picked up...Allied Interstate LLC...THEY ARE A DEBT COLLECTOR!!!

I did the *67 and call the 800 number for allied interstate, as stated above. All I received were pre-recorded offers for $25.00 gift card, discount rate on vacation packages, etc. I'm sure it's another scam trying to get your information. But they called my parents house?!?  How they got my name at that number, I'll never know. Haven't lived there in over 20 years. LOL

They get paid by the call. Just don't answer.... Really, they call schools and colleges too. Their bosses are too dumb to realize it.

I had blocked this number since I had been getting 2 -3 calls per day from 678-321-1515. Even though I blocked the # the phone rings once and then blocks it. I got curious and called them back. A guy answered and said Allied Interstate LLC. I asked what they were calling about and they said they were trying to contact a Michelle Newcomb. I told them no one by that name has ever lived here. He asked if I knew or ever have known her and I said no. He said he would remove my number from thier contact list and apologized for the inconvienience. They were polite but I'm guessing it is some type of collecting agency. We'll see if the calling stops!
