Caller said I was being charged with theft by deception and account fraud, no answered when I called back.

Thay called me, too. They are not legit-accusing people of fraud (which it is NOT), and threatening jail (which they CANNOT do).
And making up titles like "Investigator such and such" when they are just lowlife scammers. Don't let these people scare you. Impersonating officers of the law is against the law and I am reporting them to every agency I can find!
A legitimate collection agency will never lie about being an investigator, will never threaten jail time because they know the law, and will not accuse you of a crime you did not commit.

I was employed by HZB I just recently quit the position because they are not in compliance with state and federal regulations concerning debt collections. I was sold on the opportunity that people were making lots of money with this company and it turns out that the consumer is not the only ones being shafted so are the employees. Every check that I recieved was short. This last check was short 615.25 and I was told that they made a decision mid pay period that they could no longer pay me at the rate we agreed. Although they have after much "loud and abrasive" persuasion they have agreed to pay me my money but that too is yet to be see. This company is a Lie. THERE IS NO CENTRAL OR CORPORATE OFFICE. THEY ARE COLLECTORS THAT WORK FROM HOME WITH NO TRAINING ON WHAT THEY ARE CALLING YOU ABOUT AND AND VIOLATING JUST ABOUT EVERY STATUE OF THE FDCPA. From threats to sue, consumers being locked up, arbitration, investigations and the like. WE MUST PUT A LID ON THIS TRASH CAN. It is illegal for a debt collection agency to threaten you with a lawsuit if they have never sued anyone for recovery of a debt. THIS COMPANY (HZB) HAS NEVER SUED ANYBODY AND WILL NOT SUE. ESPECIALLY FOR THESE SMALL BALANACES IF YOU DONT PAY THEY SELL THE ACCOUNT TO SOMEONE ELSE. AND THAT'S THE TRUTH. Truth Be Told.

I took out a payday loan, I then broke my ankle which had not healed and in Jan 2011 had it operated on and still out of work. HZB had screwed up my checking account that the bank has now closed my account. A woman keeps calling me and threatening me with court and felony charges. I am now on PA publice assistance, she stated that if  am arrested on felony charges I would lose my assistance. I am also a foster parent with no children living with me currently, I would not be able to be one with a felony, I am also a caretaker for the elderly, I would not even be able to perform my profession. I currently am attending college online for BS Psychology, that would wipe out be doing that profession also. I don't know which end is up.
