They calling me 2 times if I don't pick up then left me a message stating that I write out bad checks I pay for everything in cash they can suck it

Received a voicemail from this gentleman stating that I was being taken to court for writing bad checks.  I have been with the same bank for years and only write one or two checks a month, so I can verify where all my checks are at the moment.  Do not give this man your personal information!

Claimed to be a law office looking to collect on a pay day loan from RBT loans.  I never had any pay day loans, theysounded petty shady

A woman named Linda Armstrong called from this number claiming that I have a small claims court judgement pending against me for check fraud.  I have outstanding debt, but no fraud checks!!  Don't give any information because when I wouldn't give out my SSN she got mad and put me on hold.  She threatened if I didn't give her that information she would just write it off and I would be served.  I hung up after I was put on hold and tried calling back but she wouldn't answer.  Gave her a taste of her own medicine!!!!!

I didn't answer but my caller ID says this company is Staley Lawhorne.

This is a collection agency.  They called me attempting to collect on an unpaid payday loan from Sandpoint Capital, LLC - this company provides internet payday loans with terms that I later found out violate Colorado State Law.  When I told the collection agency that I had filed a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General's office agains Sandpoint, the collection agent who called became very nervous and said "Please forgive us", which tells me that they may have something to do with Sandpoint.  Also, keep in mind that if you happen to have defaulted on a payday loan in which you provided a cancelled check, this is NOT the same as writing a bad check, so they can only file a civil suit against you - NOT CRIMINAL.  The agent who called also said they were with a "lawfirm", but I didn't get the name.  Anyway - check with your State Attorney General's office before you do anything.  They do appear to be legit, but they may not be following the laws of your State.

i do not pick up on unknown calls.  these people keep calling without leaving voicemail.  if you really want to speak to me then leave a voicemail to identify yourself.
