Beware!  This is a scam!  They call or text saying they are Bank of America and there is a problem with you account.  They are fishing for personal information.  They are really not with a bank, they are con artists trying to get your personal information.

Yes, I just got 4 text messages from them in less than an hour.  Saying they were Bank of America and need me to contact them immediately.  I don't have any BoA accounts.  I called them to tell them to stop sending me text messages.  They asked for my SSN and when I refused to give it to them they hung-up.  Scammers!!!!!!!!

I just received an SMS from the same number. They call themselves tele@bof-America.co. SMS requested that I call. I didn't bother.

Just got text from these idiots. Is there a way to turn them in?

Yes i just rec a text from tele@bof-america.com and when i called back i rec a busy signal. A few seconds later my wife rec the very same text. The wierd thing about it is, i just had an interview with boa for a job today and thought this text was in relation to that. But after researching the number i see it is a coincident and may be a scam.especially that these scammers have both mi.e and my wifes number. Strange!

I just received a text from that number, pretending to be boa. I played with number for a litle bit until they hung up on me.. Jajaja

Received similar texts as mentioned, two in half an hour.  Forwarded them to abuse@bankofamerica.com (Bank of America's fraud unit).

I just received two text messages from smsnotice@b-ofamerica.com telling me to contact 678-384-7533.  I figured that it was a scam since I have no accounts with B of A.  After searching the web for the telephone number, I found these posts.  Glad that we can work together to protect each other.

I did not call this number, thankfully to y'all! I do not have a BOA account. I received 2 texts w/in 6 minutes of each other.

Got the same text.  Don't even have a bank of america account.

My wife got a text today from somebody saying she needed to call Bank of America at this number.

I got a SMS message stating that they are bank of American & to call the now....I Google the PTN to call & read all the notes here.....

I just received a text messages from smsnotice@b-ofamerica.com as well and I don't have a BOA account.  And my wife received one earlier today.  That is just weird how they had both our numbers.

i keep getting messages telling me something wrong with my b of a account.  different phone # have been used and they are calling my wifes phone also.  how can i get this to stop or expose them.

Received message to call 16783847533.  Please note, they didn't show as "Bank of America", it was B of America in caller and B O A in message.   Since I have an account with BOA, my first thought was it was the bank.  I accessed my on-line BOA account and looked at alerts first...none were posted.    I looked the number up on this site and reviewed the posts.    Curious and hoping to get more info about who was calling, I called the number and got a  busy signal.  Plz be careful when you get texts that your minds eye reads as something it is not.   They are so clever!

Just called and received an automated system identifying itself as Bank of America. This time they had an automated system asking for your 16 digit PIN number for your debit card, otherwise you risk it being deactivated because of an internal error.

I, too, have an account with BOA and also notified them of this scam.

same text:   "smsnotice@b-ofamerica.com: B Of A. Please Contact 16783847533"   I will also report this to BofA as fraud.
