Someone named "Mike Malone" called my cell phone (which I never give out, EVER!), and asked for me by using my first and last name, which is a little odd considering my cell phone is under my mother's name, and we don't even share the same last name. I did not tell him I was the person he was looking for, I was very confused as to how he got my number. He said I entered into a "Sweepstakes" and then told me I was "not a very nice person" and that I was "inconsiderate". I still have no idea how he got my number but I sure wish he'd lose it. After he hung up on me, I called the number right back and it sounded like a cell phone...? When my mother called it back they said they were from "American Publisher's" and that they were a legitimate company and gave her a 800 number to call and verify that...?

This phone number keeps calling me on my cell number. I have not answered the phone and after reading the above posting I will not answer as they are not someone that I need to talk to. If he cannot leave a message he does not need to talk to me. I did call the number back and got a Cell phone prerecorded message.

Same thing.....called my work number which he said he must of received my info because I have a Visa or Mastercard.  I let him speak, and then  told him I declined and to take my number out of their system.  It was Mark Malone as well.  Will wait to see if they call back....very disturbing!!!  Wanted to sell magazines!

same story said he is with pusblising clearing house selling magazines.  i just hung up after he talked he knew my adress which was extra scary

I got a call from this number twice today, I was at work and did not answer.  Was going to call it back but decided to look online first to see if it was someone I knew.  This is very strange and irritating I do not like people calling my cell phone that I do not know.  Thanks for all the info!

This number calls me everyday.I never answer because I have the numbers programed in my cell of the people I gave the number to. I also get a 201-257-4261 calling me.another one,480-543-1225 and also 408-754-5553.I ignore all these calls,They will call for several days and then stop.Thing is,a new number starts to call and I go through it again

I received a call from this number, and I checked it out. They are who they say they are. It's a sweepstakes and magazine promotion. Legit. I checked out their 800# and it's legit too. They sell magazines.

i got this same call twice this a.m. they did not leave a message,i called back,got a recorded message.

I had him call today saying he was from "publisher" but later on in the phone call he changed his name to "american pusblisher"
he said i won a free diamond watch along with 2 magizines but had to pay for Rolling Stones one for only 1.99

when asked if he could mail me the info, he said that he can only do things throught mastercard on the phone. ( DEAD GIVE AWAY) i knew then this was a scam.
i caught him scamming me whille on the phone
i checked the bogus website he told me to go to and the 1800 number
he also knew the address as well as full name.
when i talked to him and called him  out on it, he hung up

then i called back
and he actully picked up saying "publishers"
i tryed to scare him sayin i kno hes a fake and what he is doing is wrong and told him that my husband is a police officer just to scare him, he stayed on the phone for a good 30 sec. not saying anything then hung up.
