- Stephanie| 4 repliesPro tip: Even if you ARE my health insurer, I'm not going to give you personal information when you called me and I don't recognize your phone number.
- Caller: United Healthcare
- BillRobocall claiming to be from my health insurer " United Health Care " asking for information - never heard of them
- Caller: United Health Care

- Caller: United Health Care
- Nikki| 2 repliesKeep getting calls from unknown number that calls 2 hrs apart. I finally answered the phone and found that they said they were United Health Care. The woman wanted my date of birth and ss#. Hung up on her. They are still calling... My number is unpublished so I don't understand why they're calling. My question is, why would you call me to ask for my private info? This is a scam, fraud, both.
- Caller: 678-421-4908
- RICKY replies to NikkiI just received the same call I didn't answer just googled the number but if you are saying that it is from united health care then that would make sense because that is the name of my new medical insurance..
- numbercrunchPlease see this post/thread which has more direct experience with this number and scam...

I also had a United Health Care call from this number and was hesitant about replying to the number. The number that shows up on my caller ID as the source of the call is 678-421-4908, from Lilburn, Georgia.
Good advise to just call UHC directly from the numbers listed on their website and or your insurance card, seems this 877-828-5743 is a possible fishing scam. - AnnaThis is a very elaborate scam. I work closely with United Health Care and there is no way this is actually from them.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- anonymous replies to StephanieGood answer! If you call your insurer, you'll have to give personal info to identify yourself to them but never give out personal info to a stranger who calls you regardless of whom they claim to be -- insurer, police, Medicare, etc.
- superscaredmy phone rung 12 times before I answered it. something about united health care. I hang up once it asked for my date of birth and where I lived. It kept calling 19 more times until it finally stopped.I have never had united health care as my medical insurance so it was very odd.I will never answer that caller again.
- Caller: United Health Care
- A| 1 replyYes it is united healthcare's coordination of benefits dept. it is not a scam. They either need info from you or have your number as one of their insured's in error.
- Caller: United healthcare
- BertThere was a time that someone called and said they're working with Medicare. Asked for my mum's Medicare number because they're going to ship some supplies for the diabetic. We didn't get any, actually and my mum was already charged with $200.
Try visiting phonetot.com because the last week, I got a call from "Medicare". I already sent the info over to phonetot's website and I'm waiting for them to email me.
We should try stopping those kind of people who steal from us.- Call type: Telemarketer
- ReportitWhen you receive these calls, please report them to your state Attorney General's office. I do not think that they will act upon the first few calls, but as the calls mount up, they will investigate. I filed a report about 503-902-8479 to AZ Att. Gen. office on their website on Apr. 9 and they wrote a reply on Apr. 11.
- Caller: ??? UHC
- Call type: Telemarketer
- StrangeYes very strange. They ask for someone else and sometimes it comes up private.
- Caller: Medical comPany
- repliestoscammers replies to ANo, it's not United Healthcare. And you're a sleazebag, scammer!
- Sammie UHC replies to Stephanie| 2 repliesthis numver is from UHC, its to update Coordination of Benefits. I work for UHC and personally have never heard this number a member called customer service directly gave me the number and i called it. it is legit, but i wouldnt recommend giving personal info if we called you and its a live rep. i got a recording, the voicemail we leave should give you a security code about 8 digits long and thats what you use to identify yourself to the recording.
- BlinkeredI've been receiving daily, frequent calls from this number, with the Caller ID showing UnitedHlthCar. The first call I answered (have ignored ever since) found me immediately being bombarded with requests for my "personal information before I can talk to you". Kept insisting she needed my birthdate, address, etc. Refusing to cooperate with her, she stated a year of birth and asked if that was correct. I told her, "I've never had this happen with any insurance company, and that includes United Health Care. I only give that information to the company when "I" call them."
After more of these frequent, irritating phone calls, I called UHC and talked to an employee today about these calls. She looked up the number and stated it did not belong to UHC. After she noted they are in the process of updating their information to see if anyone has additional health insurance (a common practice, I know), she said they would never call for what the one girl called about (some program that is not even a part of my policy).
Today, call #2 came through late in the afternoon. I called UHC again and talked to another employee. She also stated this is definitely not their number, nor would they ever ask for all the personal information the one girl asked for the one and only time I answered a call from this number. This employee told me they are getting calls questioning the calls from this phone number (good job everyone!). As a result of alot of research, I will stand behind UHC and believe them.
Scammers are scamming more than ever. What's ironic is the girl that was insisting that she needed "ALL my personal information or (she) couldn't talk to me" (Boo Hoo! NOT!), she stated she would never give out her date of birth to anyone that called her. If I hadn't been feeling ill at the time, as well as very busy, I would have busted a gut laughing at that statement. Instead, I just wanted to pull her head through the phone line and ask her what she could not comprehend about what I was telling her. Then again, common sense does not prevail these days.
Too bad one of the options for "Call Type" isn't "Scammer!!!!".
Never stop being on guard, people!- Caller: UnitedHlthCar
- IggyI got one of these calls where they left a voice mail with a toll free number and an 8 digit pin. I called the number and got their automated message system. I entered the PIN, which had no personal information attached to it. The menu system asked me to reply as to whether or not I had any additional health care coverage. I answered "No". The automated system thanked me and disconnected. I was not asked for an personal information, DOB, SSN, nothing. As far as I can tell, this is not a scam.
- Caller: United Health Care
- BillThis is United Health Care calling they are the cheapest basters, they want to know if you have other coverage so they don't have to pay
- Caller: United Health Care
- JLSTAPReceived a missed call and 3 second voice mail from this number. The VM was just a buzzing noise. Based on other comments, it says United Health Care. Cannot confirm this, but I've used Blue Cross Blue Shield through my employer for over 8 years and under my parents before that, so I have no business with United Health Care.
- damyankeeI had this type of call before, said they were from UHC. I called our benefits director and she checked with UHC, they told her it is definitely a scammer, ignore the call. They've started calling again in the last two days, they can go screw themselves. If someone gets on here and says it's legit, they are a liar and probably the scammer trying to find another sucker!
- Caller: scammer - says they are UHC
