I got a call from this number. Don't know who it was.
Although a legitimate business they scam their customers constantly by not processing payments in a timely manner.
Recently had an issue with them when they removed by mailing address and posted fraudulent charges to JC Penney accout, they sold it to a collection agency, WITHOUT EVER ATTEMPTING TO CONTACT ME FIRST. I believe the fraudulent charges were an inside job as they were added within a week of removing my mailing address and I was never contacted by their collections dept. I never received any statements and was not able to even dispute the fraudulent charges. I had to get the Office of Thrift Supervision involved, because they refused to discuss with me. With OTS involvement GEMB removed from collections, corrected credit report credited my account and admitted they removed my address without my consent.
When I started to research complaints on the internet I found thousands of the same complaints WORLDWIDE!
I have got this call the past two days and they say they are GE Money representing Walmart and a slew of other clients like Dillards, Banana Republic, Gap, etc.
Number is calling at all hours and days. GE Money, 1-678-518-2881 Answer and they hang up. 2 to 4 calls or more a day. I am not late to any of my creditors for years. I pay my bills. Have not signed up for anything. I answer but they hang up. Today is Sunday, at one time it was illegal to make marketing, collection, or just about any call on a Sunday. Oh, I forgot we don't keep the Sabeth Holy any more, we don't say his name out loud. We took it out of our schools, and we have taken it out of our government, I guess we will take it out of our homes and hearts next. Back to the caller. GE Money comes up on caller ID.
I have been getting these calls several times a week. I finally called it back and was told it was a way for them [Wal-mart] to verify my phone #! They are also trying to get a cell phone # from you! I have a paid to date credit cars ao this is a real nuisance!
Want to contact GE Money? Use their marketing website. Use there number to have them contact themselves. Use their email info@gemoney.com give them the same grief they give you. Trace their website. Ping their server. Complain to the FCC, FTC, and BBB. Let them know you do not want to be contacted again. The Fair Debt Act specifies they can not call you if you notify them. Here is their marketing website form. Send it with thier emails and phone numbers help them out (NOT). http://www.gemoney.com/en/business/Markets/re ... =Markets_index2
i get at least 2 calls a day from this number however it only rings bout 2 or 3 times, by the time i get my phone out of the case they have hung up. just wish they'd either stay around long enough to talk or not call at all
I work at a hotel and this number pops up on the caller ID. It calls a couple times a day, mostly on weekends, hanging up as soon as the phone is answered. I have received around 40 calls from them.
I got a call from this number, it was from Card Services for Wal-mart. They call several times a day (on Saturdays and Sundays too) and do not leave a message.
The Empire of Wal-Mart Credit Services - calling early AM, calls to home phone, answering machines picks up, before message can play through cell is ringing.
Behind one payment because we simply didn't get it in the mail on time--
Watch out: Wal-Mart, along with Citibank and Capital One, Citibank and Dell Finance have rig their payment web sites so that they are "offline for maintenance" which will cause you to miss a payment if you are too close to the due date. It's a another trick so they can raise your rate.
Keep close track of your passwords; Wal-Mart locked us out of the online payment site and it has been a hell getting it reactivated. Wells Fargo is also very bad about locking you out of their online payment site.
Called the Wal-Mart number, just keep pressing zero and get transferred to a human. Tell them to only contact you by mail if this is a legitimate collection call.
The calls are like all of those other high paid collection personnel, the calls are computer generated until the phone is picked up.....and then everything goes blank......?????
It's all about taking care of the big boys and the heck with the little guy.....!!!!!!!!!!!! Just think the kinder Members of Congress approve of these type things and we voted for them...What's wrong with this "PICTURE"................
