Get called about 4-5 times a day, sometimes more during the weekend, called back from another phone. Collection company, would not tell me who they were calling for.

got a call from this number, they did not leave a message.  After calling them back , I discovered it was for GE Money bank.  We have a paypal credit card through them.

Received numorous calls from this number daily. First call would be between 7 and 8am. It is against federal law for any collection company to place calls before 8am under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Apparently GE Money Bank also makes customer service calls for their PayPal division from this number.

Yes, same here, and we get calls on Sunday, too!

We receive calls from this number (678-518-3097) everyday beginning around 7:30 a.m. our time and going as late as 9:30 p.m. our time.  They all everyday of the week including Sunday, calling around 5 times each day.  There is never an answer and sometimes we'll hear them click (hang up) when we answer.

We keep getting these calls.  Found out they were from Paypal.  We are up to date with them and if I ever answer the phone when thay call, I wont be a nice person.

They just called me again. When I asked to speak to a manager I was put on hold and then hung up on. I'm not paying anything.

maybe you should pay your Paypal credit card that you used to buy stuff on eBay.   This is why they call me.  I'm a disorganized guy and often forget to pay my paypal minimum payment, so some lady from India is nice enough to call me 5 times a day until I man up and pick up the phone and pay my $40 minimum.    They're just doing their job, dont get so bent out of shape for someone cold calling you as if they need permission to call your phone number.    just pay your bills on time and you wont get these calls.   I know its easier to run away from your problems and for years I ignored these calls instead of just making arrangements or paying something.    those people here who say you're not payin nothing..  to me.. you're a deadbeat and you deserve 20 calls a day.    

I'm off to pay my paypal bill, this phone number called me 3 times today so far, I googled it, found this site, and now I know I should go pay my bill.

I have got calls on Sunday, 13 in one day, Also as late as 10:30. I have also gotten 11 calls in 1 day to my cell! I do not even have an account with these people! Is this how paypal treats it's members?

GE called 2 times in one hour, even through I am on the do not call list. It is rather a problem when you have explained several times what is going on in your life.

As they say, easier said than done. I you are out of work and no income at all, it is not so easy to make any payments to anyone.
So just telling people to pay up does not help.

i'm so annoyed with these phone calls. I'm the kind of person that will NOT answer a call to a phone number I do not recognize. Now if they would have left me a message, okay, then obviously I would know who is calling me all these times, and I would call back. But it just makes me so angry that they just call, call, and call which is basically hassling you, but they don't even have the decency to leave you u a message. What makes me more upset is that I talked to a representative from paypal, and we had set up a payment for last week friday when i got payed. However, they NEVER took out the money, and so now they are hassling me to pay up..! what's that?? ughhh....

Called at 8:20AM Sunday.  Said they were from PayPal Shopping.  Didn't identify as a collection call.  I closed my account with them 3 weeks ago after paying off my card.  Called back at 2pm, this time identifying as a collection call.  They insist they never received my last payment.  Here's my canceled check, douchenozzles!  Enjoy your cease and desist order.

got a call at 9:56 pm ...called the # back and it is a recording that the # is no longer in service !

Under the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) it is illegal to harass people even if they owe you money. I am not an attorney everything in this paragraph is being stated for informational purposes only each individual should consult an attorney for specific advice concerning their specific situations. With that being said a couple other things they are not allowed to do which is outlined in the FDCPA it is illegal for them to call on Sundays in addition if you send them a cease and desist letter (make sure it is sent registered and certified United States Postal Service) even if you owe them money they can not continue contacting you in regards to the debt. Lastly in accordance with the FDCPA they cannot have more than one collection agency collect on the same exact debt, once the debt is transferred to a third party for collection the people who turned it over for collection may not call in regards to the debt. I've been receiving 2-3 calls a day from "GE Money" for the pasty month. I stopped answering the phone, becuase the few times I answered, they hang up. I do use PayPal, but I do not or never have owed them money. I am pretty fed up with these calls.  Whenever the phone rings, I usually don't answer, because its probably them or another telemarketer.
