- Rocky Cantwell| 4 repliesHave been receiving calls from this company at my place of employment. In spite of my demands to receive something in the US Mail at my home or calls to my home phone, which they have if this is legitamate, they refuse to do so. My next step is to contact the federal trade commision to file a complaint. I have even given them my EMail address and have received nothing.

- Michelle replies to Grizz| 3 repliesI receive a message stating Agent McGufy from the fraud division of Nelson Hirsch & Associates looking for my mom who may be involved in fraud. The so called agent left her number 678-593-2340 ext 2227. My cousin also received the same message and we are not going to call back. I am an accountant and my collection agency will always contact via mail first.
- GraceM| 2 repliesThese people called me and threatened to send my husband to jail for a past (unpaid) payday loan. I told them I had the bank record that the loan had been repaid but they said that if we did not pay this loan back within a certain amount of time that husband would be sent to jail, regardless of the fact he has cancer (as do I), neither of us are working. I made arrangements to pay back to keep husband away from this conflict and was told if money not on debit card court case would be reopened. Now I find out these people will take my money and never give me a receipt. I was supposed to get an email with details but nothing has arrived since the call. I do not plan to put any money on the debit card; in fact, I have already put money on a new (walmart) debit card and discarded the one I gave them the number to. Just let them mess with me again!

- CCJust received a call from a female from this company who identified herself from the Nelson & Hirsch Fraud Division performing an investigation. She was looking for a contact number for my ex-husband's first ex-wife. Now how in the world did you get my home phone number? The ex does have his same last name but I never changed to his last name while married. Oh by the way, we've been divorced almost 4 years. The ex lives in Texas while I'm in Ohio. I simply told her that I don't have a clue and that was the end of that.

- Liz| 4 repliesI recieved a call from this company about a payday loan that was not paid off. I did recieve a loan but I did not know the seriousness of it. I told them that I would get back to them because I wanted to know more info. They willingly sent me paperwork and I also did my research. And by research, I called an attorney and got advice. He explained how much trouble that I could really be in. I also did research on the internet. When I called Nelson Hirsch & Associates back, they werent rude with me. They actually worked something out with me. I paid my debt and Im happy to know that I am clear of any trouble. Thank you Nelson Hirsch and Associates!!!

- bebyzing| 4 repliesi was just like you guys trying to find fault to get out of paying these [***] and alot of others to. but i learned very quickly that they were very thorough with all info and i gave them my attorney name and number and a ms evans called the attorney and provided him with all info he requested. my attorney advised me thati need to take care of it due to the fact that these people had legal grounds to file the claims they had all my banking info, employment info and hell i knew i did the loan but it was so long ago. i really didn't think this [***] could have caught up with me but it did. i called ms evans back and she helped me set up a payment to get myself back on track. i hated to do it but hell i owed it and according to what my attorney said if the case was submitted and they filed the suit it could be damaging to me. i realize that i tried to slander these people because i [***] up but hey they had all rights to what they were doing. i checked on so other sites of attorney's some highly recommended ones and also some other companies and to my surprise they had just as much negative [***] that these people did just because they were unhappy with a service or hell in my case i tried to get out of paying the damn thing i really did no think this could happen. i directed my attorney to the ad they had posted and he told me we put in ads to hire experienced highly trained collectors to collect on our legal collectable debts so that is nothing it doesn't decrease their creditability. collection agency or not they have legal rights to what they are doing. so i gave up on trying to slander these damn folks and just paid the [***]. i'm not telling you guys to do it but hey i can sleep at night not wondering if this is legit or not or if the can actually file suit against me. my attorney said yes they could told me to go to the fact and question section of any payday loan website and find the direct answer as to what will happen if i do not pay back the loan.. try it or goggle the [***] it'll surprise you it damn sure surprised me.

- KATHY| 3 repliesfind out what your statue oflimitations are for debt in ur state i recieved a call from 678 593 2340 ext 2271 they left a voicemail on my moms phone (im 38 havent lived there since i was 18) threating to have me prosicuted for fraud according to my attorney here in texas that 1. its against the law for them to leave threaating remarks on a voicemail. 2. if it was legitamate they would contact you by cetified mail. and 3.and most important that when the statue of limitations has ran out they try to contact u to scare you into setting up or making a payment because if they do then the timeframe starts all over again. we to them when they called back to never call again that the statue ran out 1 year ago and that if they called or harrasses me or my family anymore they would bee speaking to my attorney i have never heard from them again. they use scare tactics to try and bully you into signing a new agreement that voids the old. check your state for the statue of limitations.

- Delane replies to Joe SixpackTrue that!!!! Have my own story with these liars! My husband is a collection agent himself (not with this company) and he said they are doing and saying all sorts of illegal things as per the laws to recover money.
- Delane replies to bebyzingListen...of course everyone should pay their loans back, duh! But, you can't say things like "fraud" and TELL the people HOW they can pay back their money. Sh_t, if I wanted to pay them back with pennies in jars that should be acceptable. But, even more reasonably, they wouldn't take even a money order! They want access to your account.....and they are "tricky" in their language.

- Debbie| 2 repliesI have been paying off my loan. I had them set up to pull payment from my Visa check card. The one time that I called and asked them not to, they did anyway, I ended up bouncing a check. Then they told that I "can't" break an agreement. I was upset because at least I am paying on it and then they pull anyway and cause me more financial issues. They want you to work with them but they work very well with you.

- DMag| 4 repliesI just received a call from my mother because someone named Liz Walker from Nelson Hirsch and Associates called her and told her that she's a lawyer who is trying to get a hold of me because of fraud. Of course this freaked my mom out! I thought that if someone calls you from a collection agency then they're supposed to tell you they're trying to collect a debt. I wasn't aware that it was legal to tell someone-who I haven't lived with since the day I turned 18 and I'm now 32-that you're a lawyer when you aren't. Liz Walker had told my mother that I used my mother as a reference. I haven't called Ms. Walker back yet because I'm going to try to find the statute of limitations for Ohio. Thanks to all of you who posted, I find it very helpful!!! If I find anything else out I will be sure to post it on here.

- DMag replies to DMagI just called the company and spoke with Liz Walker and told her to stop harassing my husband because it's my debt and not his and I demanded that something be sent in the mail which they are refusing to do because, according to them, they sent something this past April. So I'm guessing that they only have enough money for a one time postage??? Anywhoozles, she put her bogus manager on the phone who was extremely rude so I ended up hanging up on her right after I told her that I know they're being fraudulent. I also advised my hubby to no longer take calls from them. It really sucks because they are calling him at his work now and on his cell. They told me the loan amount I received was $290 and that I now owe them $590. That's crap and I'm trying to find out if the statute of limitations is up on it. If it is then I'm calling them back and going to tell them to eat it. I hate frauds like that!!!
