This company is "Nelson Hirsch & Associates" don't be afraid of the legit sounding name. They are debt collecting wolves in lawyer sheep clothing. Keep ALL correspondence and every message/letter/call time you receive. After the collector receives your cease and desist letter, they must comply. You can legally pursue them for non compliance.

This company will call and leave messages stating that you are named a suspect for a fraud investigation regarding a previous debt (in most cases, an old payday loan)

They will tell you that if you do not pay the debt immediately, you will have charges filed against you. This is false. They will verbally harass you- to the extreme of yelling and demeaning you on a personal level. Scare tactics folks. ( I have been in this situation previously and I am now in litigation with this and another company using the same method of harassment.)

My "investigator" went by the name of "David Robinson" this may be an alias, as I have yet to locate such an individual in any search.

Be aware of the non legit nature of these people who will tell you every line possible to get you to pay for old debts, You have rights, and this company violates them.

I'm so glad I found this site!! I looked up some numbers that were calling me but not leaving messages. I even had one call me really late at night and then demand that I pay them right away! I told them It Was Too Late to call- I've actually won two lawsuits against debt collectors for violating it the time ordinance thing. It's been around for a long time, you'd think they would know better! If they are harassing you, it's ILLEGAL! If they tell anyone besides you or your wife/husband about the debt, it's ILLEGAL!! If they are really nasty with you (swearing!), that's against the law too! Don't let the debt collectors harass you, know what they can do and what they can't.
