I recieved four calls from 678-594-4800. They hadn't left voice messages. So, I googled the number and it says "Carmax".

its carmax auto company.  i guess they changed their number from a 770 number to 678.

I received 3 calls from 678-594-4800 with no voice or other response from the calling number in one day (today).  Called my local CARMAX store and spoke with the business office.  They advised calling their Corporate Offices.  Can't do this until business hours.  That phone number is 804-747-0422.  They are located in Virginia

Got five calls from this number today with no message left.

I received multiple calls and a text asking me to please call a.s.a.p.

I have received multiple calls from this number (678-594-4800) for the person who had the number before I did.  I have asked for over 3 months for CARMAX to stop calling me to no avail.  Guess it is time to talk to the FBI.

I have received 5 calls from this number today, and they have no reason to call me.  I currently have no dealings with CARMAX.  This is really annoying and disruptive to my day at work.  It would be good to know how to stop it.

I actually get calls all the time from this number and from different numbers from the Carmax Financing place.

When you call them back, you have no way of getting to an operator unless you have an account with them..

frustrating!!!! all the automated voice asks for is the account number or you ssn.....but you HAVE to have an account to be able to talk with someone over the phone

this is Carmax auto finance collection department. after you are about 10 days past your due date they start calling. If they don't get you the first time they will KEEP CALLING. they once called my place of business 5 times in one day. I finally got on the phone with them and told them to remove my number from their records. Since i had a loan with them they needed to keep at least one on file. I always give them a cell that I keep off at all times.
If you just talk to them they will make notes on your 'file' but begin calling again in 5 days if you still haven't made a payment.

The number 678 594 4800 is Carmax auto finance collections.

If you are late with your car payment these are the people that call your home and work 3 times a day.Call 800 337 3612 to get customer dis-service and tell them they have the wrong number and stop making harassing calls or you will contact the states attorneys office and file a complaint.

They asked for someone who does not live here.  Strange thing is the names they asked for are a former co-worker and his wife's names.

if yall would pay ya dang on bills on-time or atleast talk to them about a reason why your account is late maybe.....you'd be a little better off. but some of you people buy a car not having the money to pay for it and expect not to get a call if you let a friend borrow 15 to 20,000 wouldn't you call to get yo money....be real.....I'd call ya daughters school if you owed me that much money..........lol. but I had this happen once. They Explain to me that the reason they call is because once your account is late my account gains interest in my case it was $16.81 a day on top of my late fee of $19.30 AFTER 15 DAYS. thats some B.S. if you ask me so, if I dont pay anybody else i will pay car maxx because if i dont my last payment will be huge.....just a fun fact

I'm getting calls from these people and I have never been on a car loan, let alone had anything to do with Carmax.

It is a federal law  not to call people at home on Sunday for collection , carmax calls a few times on Sunday, keeping track on caller ID to report them

I haven't had an account with them in 4 years.  Now they are calling my NEW cell phone once a month. And to get to someone I have to have an account number, which I don't.  Makes no sense to me.  Unless someone bought a car in my name, I have no business with them. Sometimes they leave a voicemail, and they use my name....but I have no account! Its crazy.

They stopped calling me after I would put them on hold after they asked for the person they were calling for. I guess they don't like to wait to speak to someone. It seemed that with as many times that they would call that they really wanted to talk to this person, but I guess its not important enough for them to wait until they come to the phone. They kept calling our business even after being asked to stop. When our attorney would try to call them back to order them to cease, they wouldn't let him talk to anyone because a computer would ask for an account number and hang up on you if you don't have one, which of course we didn't and that was the reason we were calling them about the mistake. We finally had to file a complaint with the public services utilities authorities and after two weeks the calls stopped. Our attorney wanted us to file a lawsuit to discourage them from harassing other people who don't do business with them, but we just don't have the time or manpower to follow through with it. Big corporations like this know they can get way with this because they think they're more important than the little guy without their vast resources.

Hey keep calling but when I pick up there's no one there and just silence on the line. I say, "hello?!" like three times before finally just hanging up. Why do they call me with no one there to talk??

I get that call every day on my cell. But it never rings, it's just a voice mail. I tried to call the number back and i got looped into the "account" thing which i don't have.  I haven't had a car or account with CarMax in years! and this was not the cell number i even had then.  My address is the same so if it was some important correspondence, they could certainly mail something.

All you have to tell them that you can not receive phone calls at work . they must stop if not you have the right to sue there [***] big time... hope this helps

These people call for Fry's electronics employees all the time.  They don't get past me though.  It's obivous they are debt collectors.  I tell debt collectors that no employees get personal phone calls.  Sheesh
