Janet with Chinese accent ,

Received 1/9/2015 around 2pm EST to home phone in Atlanta area.  Automated message, talked to my answering machine.  No doubt it's a scammer.  Message:

"Hello.  Open enrollment for the Obamacare health insurance coverage is now available, but only for a limited time.  The PPACA public law number 111-148 states that every American must have health insurance coverage.

"If you already have health insurance, Obamacare can dramatically lower your costs.

"Please press 1 now  to speak to a certified Obamacare licensed health insurance agent. Please press 1 now.

"If you are currently enrolled  in the Obamacare  program, please press 2.  Thank you."

These people are scum (along with every member of Congress who voted for that wretched bill)

Our answering machine received the call.  No message was left.

Robo call ....  They've called REPEATEDLY!!!!  Wish they would quit calling!!!!!
Subject:  Obamacare enrollment.    I am not, will not be enrolled In OBAMACARE!   The idiots who wrote this law need to have to be subject it to it!   They should not be allowed to have any other insurance.    
Our phone numbers are on the DO NOT CALL List which really is another waste of my tax dollars!  It doesn't work!  When have you heard of any of these scammers, these annoying people being prosecuted!  Reporting them does zilch!

Put the blame where it really lay's, with the criminals and illegal telemarketers.
The DNC works just fine. It is for telemarketers only and honest business does indeed abide by it. It is the criminals (which includes illegal telemarketers), frauds and scammers that do not. However, the Fed. DNC does not cover some survey's, Political or Charities.  You would need to check your states DNC laws to see if these are under your states DNC laws.  The fact remains that they are not automatic call blockers though and can not protect you from the calls that are criminal, illegal or fraudulent.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone..  You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

I got the call just now on caller ID is shows XXXXXXX for the name then GA. I didn't answer it because I didn't know the number. But I am on the do not call list so why are they calling?

Caller ID was a series of Xs and the phone number.  No one was there when I answered.  Call back gets a fast busy

Call from a spoofed number - you get a message that this number is not in service when you call back. Definitely a scam.

I tried to call these people back, but surprisingly the number is no longer in service.  How do they get away with harassing us, but we can't harass them back?

Just got a call from this number 678-611-6130  caller id shows XXXXXXXXXX GA @7:21pm  Thank goodness I bought a call blocker device on ebay last month  called a T-blocker.  It works great.  block all these BS calls now.  not bothered by any calls anymore once you add them to the blocker.   you can block up to 1200 calls.

It is sad that the Feds cannot enforce the "DO NOT CALL LIST".  I had a home phone system that would only block 30 numbers.  For Christmas I treated myself to a new system that will block 300 numbers.  I only hope that is enough.

Short answer:
1.  The Feds DO enforce the DNC list, as written.
2.  Criminals ignore the DNC list.

Telemarketer pushing health scams ailed at Senior Citizens.
This is a daily robo call to a cell number.

Click on click off and they are gone.

Just got a call from this number, identified only as XXXXXXX, GA.  We don't answer unknown callers at all.  They let the phone ring over 30 times, hung up and called right back.  Obviously, not what you would call smart folks.  Any one we care to talk with calls on our cells.  Am going to discontinue our land line, it's a drain and a pain.

Got a call from 678-611-6130 & caller id shows "XXXXXXXXXX GA". Did not pick up the call, I was immediately checking here and no message was left. We are on DNC.

If you are on the DNC list, telemarketing calls are illegal, which means the people on the other end are criminals looking to steal personal information for your their own benefit.

Report the calls to the FTC and healthcare fraud hotline.

If you need health insurance, contact your local DFAC office or health insurance provider-also can be done online.

Telemarketing calls of any kind are illegal and never ever provide personal information over the phone. Telemarketing scams are on the rise and the caller iD and the fact that it is automated should be a dead giveaway that a bunch of criminals are out to steal your money.

Beware. Warn others, and report.

XXXXXXXXXGA  on caller ID.  Number was 678-611-6130.  I don't bother to answer unfamiliar numbers or unknown name.  My husband loves to mess with these callers but I hate to tie up my line with the Jackwagons.  It's just so irritating to be in the middle of something & be disturbed by the phone ringing, then only to find out that it's some numb nuts in BFE.
