when i called back this was a disconnected number.  ATT told me not long ago that some companies can grab" and telephone number, connected or disconnected, and somehow use that as a caller id.  in an earlier case with another local number was some nice little ole lady in Rancho Bernardo.  I guess it has come to don't answer phone if you do not recognize the number.  Also.. add your number to the do not call list  at 888-382-1222  and that should stop these very annoying calls.

Got a call from 678-666-5847, did not recognize the number so i let it go to voice mail. Called it back and it turns out to be vision financial. V E R Y  A N N O Y I N G!!!!!!!! these scum suckers have resorted to using different numbers to attempt to get me to answer their calls and attempt to squeeze as much money out of me as possible, even though i DO NOT OWE THEM MONEY!

PS: i HAVE added my cell phone and my wife's cell phone to the national DO NOT CALL list, and yet i STILL get calls from these scum suckers!

This number as well as two to three other numbers call, let it ring about two times and hang up.  There is never a message and I have no knowledge what purpose it serves them to do this.  If they want to continue then I'll just enjoy my fabulous iphone ring while they're making me feel oh-so-popular.  I do feel sorry for them for not having better things to do.

Has called many times. If I don't answer they do not ever leave a message. If I do answer they hang up. Am very tired of this. They have called three times a week for the past month. Who do I report this to?

I've gotten calls several times from 678-666-5847...I answer and no one is on the line....I've never let it go to my answering machine.....If they want to call, why can they not talk when you answer?  Very annoying.

their intent in calling is NOT to reach you by telephone regarding a debt or stopping the incorrect calls to your home.  their intent is to HARASS YOU with daily hang-up calls.  if vision financial calls and hangs up on one thousand  "b. smith's"  every day intending to only locate ONE ACTUAL DEBTOR they are quite happy harassing the innocent unrelated 9,999.
guess what folks...THE HANG UP CALLS ARE ILLEGAL....yes, even the hang ups are regulated and considered actionable harassment by federal law.
$500 per violation and treble damages if they violate your do-not-call requests.

why don't they talk? you can't collect any money if you don't ask for the money...seems weird.

I receive these calls a lot.  They have been going-on now for quite some time.  Congress doesn't know what or how to do their own jobs, correctly.  That is why they are incapable of doing anything about it.

No one there when phone is answered. Might be, as someone said, a collection agency. Might be one of those outfits that are said to call and verify that a numbr is good and they then sell their compiled list to telemarketers. Anyway, I dont mind. Don't have a radio since Sambobama took everything so with no music in the house, I rather like to listen to the phone ring. Beats hearing the neighbors fight.
