Got a call from "Investigator Anderson" (female), says she's from Kaufman, Hines (or Heins?) & Associates and I am being pursued for check fraud.

Same thing, got a call from someone with the phone number 888-315-8365 from Kaufman, Hine  & Associates saying they're from check fraud division.

Same call. Someone called about check fraud, wanted bank account card number.

I got the same message, at my step mom's where I have NEVER lived, but my message was about social security fraud.

I was called by a man who identified himself as Investigator Perry at 888-315-8365 extention 320.  Left word for me or my attorney to call him back within 24 hours, or my case would be turned over to the courts for check fraud.  My heart began to RACE!  Thank you all for posting here!!!!

JJ I just received the same call too and left a message they had a sommuns & complaint against me fpr check fraud.

Just got a call from my nephew who stated someone from Kaufman & Assocs  at 678-707- 8690, Investigator Anderson, and they were looking for me for check fraud.  Had no idea what it was about.  He couldn't get through to call back.  After reading several other sights realized it has to be a hoax but no clue how they got his information or mine.

got the same call 3 months ago also..sd i was there for check fraud..i did a little digging around and even tho they are a bunch of jerks.they are real...these guys have a few  customer service issues but i did really owe..i told them i wanted to go to court as a bluff call..well while the guys that are placing these calls arent very tough..i found out that the Legal Rep are cold blooded blood suckers..i paid a total of $1532 for a $400 loan...SMH....

I initially received a call from Sara Jefferson telephone number 678-374-8195 advising that a suit was being filed against me for check fraud and that I or my attorney needed to call telephone number 888-315-8365 ext. 230 immediately. So I called back and when she attempted to confirm my social and address, neither of them were for me. The address was somewhere in Ohio and I do not know whose social she had. So I was advised that my info would be removed from their file.

i just recieved a call from investigator Jackson, he said my personal investigator was Jefferson that they were trying to settle a payday loan i owed, which the loan was correct but i've called the loan people myself and they have told me before they would never take a client to court over a loan, therefore i was suspious when they called and looked up his company online Kaufman Hynes. so glad i did.

this just happened to me...OMG i gave my info because i was so scared of being prosecuted...what should i do?

i also got a call from investigator jackson so i called my loan company and they told me that it is fake and that they are currently doing an investigation on it and that i needed to call the police if they kept calling me so i called four other places better business bureau, texas attorney general, federal trade commision, and texas dept of finance they have broken every texas set law for debt collecting when they spoke to me so i am doing something about it i suggest others do to

These people are total scammers and bluffers.  The people that post on here that it's legit is probably working for them.  They will not provide me any documentation about the debt.  They will not give me their mailing address and when I google this "company" they don't show up as a business.  BS!!

I also received this exact number and electronic message.  I had a feeling that it was a trap because they had called one of my references i listed in a payday loan I am disputing....thank you so much for posting this information!

Just got a call from a Mr. Royce with kaufman Hines & Associates.  The number that showed up on my cell phone caller ID was 678-825-8882. He said that my social security number was tied to a check fraud and that he needed a verbal statement from me immediately so that he could make a determination in my case before turning it over to the magistrate.  He asked me to call 888-315-8365, I believe the extension was 261 or 2610.  He called me on my cell phone.

I got a call over the weekend from the same number.  The person I talked to said his name was Jay Sinclair. He said the company that he is litigating for is going to take my SS disability.  I have tried to contact this company several times in the past by phone and e-mail.  The phone number they gave is a recording that runs you in circles and you never talk to a real person (at least I have not).  The e-mail address they gave - if you send them an e-mail you get a error message and it will not go through.  This Sinclair person said what I needed to do was get a prepaid Visa or Master Card and use that to pay the bill as the company did not want a paper trail.  HELLO am I stupid?  I do not think so.
