call but left no message Caller ID states GEORGIA

Caller left a message saying she had to talk to me about a serious matter but did not state what or who they were. It sounded like a call center because of the chatter in the background and the tone which caller used.

I got the same message... no introduction but this wench left a message needing to talk to me. I will most likely block them.

Sleazy bill collectors.

They called and left me a message with the same phone number, 1-678-937-5040, she asked me to call her back at 1-866-637-6193 said it was important. I did a reverse lookup and got this information Financial Asset Management, 1967 Lakeside Pkwy, Tucker, GA 30084. They are asset protection services(collection agency). I know I owe only capital one auto, which is my guess who they bought of the collection account from.  There is a law somewhere that protects people in collections, if you have not made a payment in 4 years, then http://www.credit-repair-specialist.com/debt- ... limitation.html

These folks aren't only rude, they are threatening....  Maybe it's the Georgia State Prison inmate they are hiring to do the calls.......

Called and left a message in broken English and definitely reading a script poorly. They are wanting an immediate call back. They are a bill collector. In the background you could hear others leaving like messages in a boiler room operation.

A person from the same agency called for my father in law, and as my husband went to simply explain that he does not reside at our address, he questioned my husband about whether he had heard of a their facility then questioning my husband, in absolute rudeness and mockery, telling my husband to spell their company name...for whatever reason.  Repeating: "Can you spell it?"  To the point he made that he will call us Ev-er-y day to bother the hell out of us.  In which the following day he or someone else surely did.

Most of the calls they make are for Smaller Debts. Remember small claims court has a $1500 limit and attorneys aren't allowed. Plus it's against Federal Laws for ANYONE to buy a debt. Once a company sells the debt it's officially null and void.

I was sleeping at the time they called (about 8:45am) but when I got up I had a voice mail that said it was from phone number 678-937-5040 but the guy who left me the message said to call him back at 1-866-637-5040 ext. 6589. All he said was, "this message is for (my first name)" and said something about calling him back at 1-866-637-6198 ext. 6589. Like a post before me said this guy sounded foreign and it sounded like a call center in the background. He made no mention of his name or why he was calling. That was what first made me suspicious, then I thought I would check the numbers out on Google and found these message boards. I won't be calling the number back but if it is some sort of collection agency I can tell you this, I have NO debt besides my house payment, and I am not behind on that nor have I ever been, so they are full of [***]. I don't know what they are trying to accomplish or who they're trying to fool but within the past year I have received a few other strange phone calls similar to these of which I have looked up online and found many other people with calls from the same numbers with similar stories. I think we should all write to 20/20, Dateline NBC or PrimeTime Live and have them do an investigation on this [***], they always seem to get to the bottom of things.
Something I'm wondering is, are all these strange phone calls only being made to Sprint customers? I know that seemed to be the case with a few of these numbers before, if so I'll go elsewhere.

Sick of scam....  Make sure to keep checking your credit, regularly.  I, somehow, had a judgement made against me with no knowledge, no notice.  I was checking my credit in january and was contesting these BS collection-scammers, getting the calls and ignoring them(for legal reasons).  They were "contested" and just after they were dropped(march), a judgement from sept 07 appeared like magic.  Now I am fighting that.  Save yourself the trouble, I am now putting a freeze on credit checks of all kinds through the big-3 credit bureaus like transunion, etc..  I hear you can sue them if they call your cell and now I have a completely unlisted number and they call the "Most called numbers on your phone bill"- Something that probably creeped out of the Bush-wiretap-spy-bill(SERIOUSLY)!!!

This post is for everyone on this board regarding harassing phone calls and rude behavior from Financial Asset Management. Phone number 678-937-5040 address 1967 Lakeside Pkwy. Tucker, GA 30084.

I too am receiving harassing calls from them. I have years of experience as a bill collector (sorry guys just trying to pay the bills). Anyway, I am very familiar with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act Laws and the people that have called me are in complete violation of those laws. I will be filing a complaint with the organizations listed below and filing a harassment suit. I am putting out an invitation to everyone with a similar complaint regarding this company to join me in a Class Action Lawsuit. I will also be reporting them (and you can do this with any other violators) to: The Federal Trade Commission, the Attorney General in my state (you report to your state's Attorney General" and lastly the Better Business Bureau. Anyone that wishes to participate can contact me so that we can begin to put this into action.

I got a call today from this number looking for "Clarissa".  It was on my land line and cell phone.  I have no idea who "Clarissa" is.  I asked to whom I was speaking and I was answered very rudely, "Miss Knight".  Miss Knight wouldn't tell me who she was with.  My land line had the source.  My cell phone read Unknown caller.  Count me in.

i had a huge problem with capital one auto finance, i bought a car financed with them for 14k. i lost my job and got behind a month, they told me they were going to add the past month to the end of my term. supposidly they didnt do that and after waking up 1 morning without a car i got a hold of them. i dont take blocked numbers on my cell and they never once left me a message. well, they took it and i called them up and they said "oops sorry, our mistake" i offered to make the past due payment because i was working and was able to! , they wanted past due amount + current + next month + 900 dollar repo fees. it came to around 2000. im not rich,
they sold my 14k car for 5k and want me to pay the remaining balance.
this is who i believe is calling me, i work as a bill collector so i know all of my rights, i plan on getting a hold of them tomarrow.
