Message said I was paying too much for my auto insurance.. Hell, maybe I am?

I have received numerous calls from 682 888 5226 and wish they would quit.  I am over 75 No D/l, and have cancer and do not need much just for them to leave me alone.

Also received this today on my cell phone - automated message saying that they had obtained information from the DMV that I was paying too much for insurance - THIS IS A SCAM - don't fall for it.  Just hang up.  They try to get you to press buttons on your phone during the call - DON'T DO IT!

Robocall trying to sell insurance. (and/or steal identities?) Whoever is responsible for this needs to go to jail, but I didn't have the patience to sit through it to see who it was.

They do not have an opt out selection and the "Chris" that answered the phone was a jerk.

Insurance telemarketing..probably a scam. As I was instantly annoyed I didn't catch the name. I'd like to know where they got my number.

Is there a way to opt out of this? They're calling my cellphone, which really irks me. I'm on the Do Not Call list so why can they call?

Because they're scammers and they don't care about the DNC list.

I have caller ID, so if I don't recognize the number, I let it go to voice messaging.  Then, from my home phone (not my cell phone) I check the voice messages.  That way I don't have to pay for the cell phone air time.

This is an insurance  company scam contacting you about your supposed high insurance rate. When I asked that I be removed from their data base they hung up on me. Horrible experience- do not call them back.

Text 7226 spam when they reply put from and # of the call you don't want calls from it works for me.

Many low-cost cell phone plans have limited minutes.  Tracfone is one of them.  That sort of plan is used by many senior citizens and others who don't keep their phones glued to their ears.  Some of my mother's friends use it.

Showed up as unknown.  Didn't answer.  No voice-mail.

Where I work I keep the office phones transferred to my cell 24/7, 365 due to all the scams. If real people want to reach us they call our cell phones. If it's a real potential client they will leave a message or reach us via email or our website.
Since calls are forwarded to my cell and there is NO good call block feature for ANY cell phone, I have made one..here's what I do: I downloaded a SILENT ringtone for $1.29 (you can make your own as well) and there is a Vibration selection of NONE. So, for all those scammers, telemarketers, etc.. out there I set the ringtone to Silent and the vibration tone to NONE. It will show up on your phone biut you won't be bugged by it. The only bothersome thing is I have a Ford vehicle with SYNC so it will silence the radio while the call is 'ringing' but I just cancel the call and that ends that.  This has worked quite nicely so far!

Called my cell phone.  Didn't answer.  Didn't leave a message either.  Searched Google and came up it as a scam.
