684 area code is American Samoa. Blocked the whole area code on Panasonic phone which can block up to 250 numbers, including "range of numbers" (area codes). Probably this was a bogus "windows fix" call--many of those came this week based on posts in 800notes. We don't answer unknown numbers, but do have ans. mach. on for msgs.

East Indian dude telling me that he was from Microsoft and needed to fix my computer, which had a virus. Right. Blocked, jackhorse!

Called at 8:45am.  When I picked up there was no one so I hung up.

Called once and I answered, no response so I hung up.  Called a second time and claimed he was Roger from Windows IT Support and he was calling to fix my Microsoft Windows computer.  Told him I didn't have one of those, so he panicked and hung up.

Said he was from Microsoft and needed to remote to fix my pc. Told him I was not in front of my pc and he hung up.

same dude said he was from Microsoft say that there was a lots of bad downloads be downloaded and then he started getting all nervous when I said nobody was on the computer doing any downloads and he hung up

A foreign person called stating they were from "Windows and needed to get into my computer". When asked where they were calling from, they said USA. I asked what state and he said state 1-28. I asked it there was a return number to call back and he gave me a 888-302-5929. Number on the caller ID was 684621-6375

Caller ID said call was from the number (684) 621-6375, which is American Samoa. Like others reported, the person sounded nervous and unsure of himself when he said he was from Microsoft and there was an issue with my computer. I cranked up some heavy metal music for them to listen too, and added the number to my CPR Call Blocker.
