Caller called multiple times starting at about 10:00 AM.  My wife answered by mistake, and caller said something about "computer problems".  Obviously this is one of the computer "fix" scams.  Area code is not a U.S. area code, maybe the call is from Mexico, or more likely this is a spoofed number.  Don't answer.  If congress doesn't want to adequately fund policing the phone lines, then we'll have to put up with this forever.  With "small government" that so many seem to want, you get what you pay for - which is usually just about nothing.

This is clearly part of a scam. The caller mentioned being with "Computer Operations Center". What is disturbing is that they had my name and email address. IN this case, the caller seemed to be struggling to conceal a foreign accent, either Asian or Eastern European.

    Waste time
They called me three times before I answers. I played along with them and had them on the phone for ten minutes. May as well waste their time. After acting like I was following their instructions they handed me over to a "supervisor" whom tried to continue with trying to get into my computer. All along I asked them questions and flipped them crap. Finally got the guy to crack and he started flipping me crap. All in all in was fun talking to the idiots.

Won't take 'no' for an answer? He's got no choice if you're not answering his calls in any way. You can really foul 'Brad's' day up that way.

    Annoyed
At my parents house. Pops had me answered the phone when I told him the number. Sounded like an Indian accent. All I could make it was that it was something with computer. Asked him to repeat. He said the same thing so I just hung up. This just happened a couple minutes ago, which would make the time about 7:20.

I got one of these calls at work one day.  Had some fun asking questions for a while as if I wasn't too bright. When I got tired of the game I asked, "But how can that be if I don't have a computer?". The disgusted marketer hung up on me.

I just heard of a call center company being fined in NH on the radio coming home yesterday. I searched but haven't been able to get any details yet. I hope it's true.

It isn't a telemarketing.  It's a scam to get access to your computer.

I got this call at work, was asked if I was the "owner of the computer", he did not identify himself.
Caller got mad when I told him he sounded like a scam artist and that I was taking his number and reporting it to IT. He yelled "you do what ever you want, lady!"
