Pretended to be from "Pc support". When asked about the details of the company he said that's the name of the company and gave a random 800 number as his company's phone number.

Scam is that they're trying to get you to buy some crappy software.

These scumbags are calling people pretending to be from PC support. They have some basic information about you (e.g. your phone number). They ask you to tell them the code on your phone number as a part of identity verification as a part of some refund process. This code number is actually the code generated and sent to you when they try to change your gmail password. If you get a call from these s*ns of b^tches, tell 'em to go f#ck themselves.

These scammers called me and had my email address, asking me if it was mine. They claimed they are receiving 25-50 spam messages from my account. So, they wanted access to my computer to "Fix" that problem. I thanked them for the info and told them I'd have my IT department look into it. At that point he said I already paid them $250 and if I want my money back, just let them log onto my computer for a refund. Unbelievable. So, i hung up. He actually called me back trying to "refund my money".  Unfortunately, they are likely to scam some people. I blocked their number.
